Bassari Resources hits further high-grade gold at Makabingui Prospect

Bassari Resources (ASX: BSR) has reported additional significant drilling results from its Makabingui Prospect in Senegal, West Africa.

The new results from drill holes on an infill line between Lines 45 & 46 confirm grade continuity within the high grade shoot first intersected by drill hole RCS070 (9m @ 15.4g/t Au from 22m - including 4m @ 33.9g/t Au).

Highlights include: RCS071 16m @ 2.1 g/t Au from 41m; RCS072 3m @ 1.9 g/t Au from 58m; and RCS074 10m @ 5.9 g/t Au from 11m including 3m @ 17.5 g/t Au from 12 m.

Bassari said these results firm up potential for a coherent easterly dipping lode approximately 12 metres in width (as intersected) with an average grade of 6.6g/t Au.

Drilling to define additional high grade zones and to define extent of the mineralised system is continuing at Makabingui and further assay results are pending.

The company continued its expansive termite sampling program at the Sambourabougou Permit, infilling an area between the Makabingui and Lafia Prospects.

An exceptional termite sample result of 47.4 g/t Au has been received, which is the highest result from our program so far.

Importantly it provides strong indication that the previously reported 14 kilometre long and approximately 400 metre wide trend between Massa Massa (Bounsankoba Permit) and Lafia will extend further North east towards Makabingui.

Another highly anomalous termite sampling result (10 g/t Au) confirms a second target area located approximately 3km to the east of the Lafia trend as previously defined by structural interpretation of aeromagnetic data.

Jozsef Patarica, Managing Director and CEO, said the termite mound sampling program is continuing and more assay results are pending.
