CES in Vegas is the world's largest tech conference

CloudTag officially launched its eagerly-awaited wearable fitness tracker today, the CloudTag Track, at the world’s largest tech conference in Las Vegas.

Exhibiting at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the firm finally unveiled the device, which allows users to monitor weight loss and fitness goals using state-of-the-art medical technology.

It’s a product which has been in the pipeline for over a decade, but commercial discussions with retailers, distributors and brand partners are now being finalised.

"We are delighted to launch CloudTag Track, the next generation of wearables,” said Amit Ben Haim, CEO.

The device’s USP is that it uses grade ECG (Electrocardiography) technology, allowing for accurate assessments of heart rate and energy expenditure.

It can be worn on the wrist for daily tracking and on the chest during exercise. A one hour charge gives it life for three to five days.

Today the firm said it will ramp up production of the CloudTag Track to deliver commercial quantities of the device in the second quarter of 2016, subject to raising funds.

At CES, CloudTag will be among thousands of press and industry analysts who come to catch a glimpse of the latest products and technologies.

More than 100 tech companies showcase the latest innovations ranging from smart home, robotics, automotive, 3D printing and more.
