COVID-19 Update

BlueRock Diamonds PLC, the AIM listed diamond producer, which owns and operates the Kareevlei Diamond Mine ('Kareevlei') in the Kimberley region of South Africa, announces an update in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday 9 April, the President of South Africa announced an extension to the strict lock down until the end of April 2020.  This action has no direct impact upon the Company's strategy announced on 7 April 2020.

BlueRock Executive Chairman, Mike Houston, said, "The extension to the lock down period is not a surprise and is consistent with what is happening in countries around the world.  The extension has no direct impact upon our strategy and we continue to ensure that we minimise costs whilst we are in care and maintenance and to explore alternative ways to commercialise our product so that we are best placed to fire up production as soon as we are able.

"I will ensure we keep the market fully briefed on any material changes."
