The Western Australian company said more than 60 magnetic and radiometric anomalies had also been identified, along with more than 20 intrusive stocks.

Yanacollpa porphyry and porphyry-skarn target-centre was upped in size and now hosts three adjoining targets declared of the highest priority.

Palcacandha porphyry target-centre doubled in size, now hosting five highest priority targets.

Tayapampa porphyry-skarn target-centre also increase, to host two adjoining priority targets.

All six Riqueza prospect areas — Humaspunco, Pinta, Uchpanga, Colina Roja, Pampa Corral and Alternation Ridge — host either defined targets, anomalies and interpreted intrusive stocks.

Next steps

Inca managing director Mr Ross Brown said: “This detailed and independent interpretation for the geophysics data of Riqueza reveals the full potential of the project area.

“With known porphyries, skarns and mines north, south, east and west, we now have nearly two dozen porphyry and porphyryskarns targets to test. It is an extremely compelling result.”

Forty-one per cent of the targets are the highest rated category, forming a part of the 24.31 linear kilometre and 935 hectare area deemed to be the priority targets.

The company reported: “In terms of shape and configuration, the targets are consistent with that of geophysical signatures of porphyry and porphyry-skarn systems.”

This is 15% of the project area.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals confirms strong zinc, silver and lead mineralisation in manto channel sampling ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/201303/inca-minerals-confirms-strong-zinc-silver-and-lead-mineralisation-in-manto-channel-sampling-201303.html Inca Minerals Ltd (ASX:ICG) has received assay results for 47 underground channel samples taken from the manto mine work at its Greater Riqueza project in Peru.

A manto is a tabular or sheet-like form of carbonate replacement mineralisation, often resulting from replacement along layers of limestone with metal sulphides.

Highlight true-thickness manto grades assayed by Inca include:

• 2.3 metres at 13.08% zinc, 254.4 g/t silver, 9.82% lead;
• 1.55 metres at 8.07% zinc, 161.9 g/t silver, 4.72% lead; and
• 1.57 metres at 7.02% zinc, 181.4 g/t silver, 3.63% lead.

The manto is exposed in a shallow mine working northwest of Mine 4548

Inca managing director Ross Brown said: “Wherever the manto is identified, it is proven to be well mineralised with true thicknesses and grades of real economic interest.”

Importantly, the manto bears towards the Rastrillo Deposit, where there is a concentration of well mineralised veins, breccias, stockworks and mantos.

As well as the Callancocha Structure, manto mineralisation such as this, may prove to connect zones of mineralisation such as Rastrillo and Rastrillo North at Humaspunco.

Brown added: “It is this connectivity that adds to the bulk tonnage potential of this exciting prospect area”.

Channel sample with a grade of 14.12% zinc, 207 g/t silver and 8.22% lead

Inca has also recognised the manto exposed in Mine 4548 in drill holes with grades of 4.97% zinc, 119.6 g/t silver, and 3.06% lead over 1.3 metres. Moreover, this manto is open ended in most directions.

The program focussed on two old mine workings, Vilcapuquio in the north of the concession and Wari in the south.

The rock chip sample assay results from both the Wari and Vilcapuquio were encouraging.

Based on assay results, Wari is strongly mineralised in zinc, silver and lead with averages of 30.55% zinc, 177.3 g/t silver and 21.21% lead.

This contrasts with Vilcapuquio that is strongly mineralised in zinc only. It averaged 18.78% zinc, 3.2g/t silver and 2.60% lead.

Inca anticipates several phases of mapping and sampling to be completed at Cerro Rayas in 2017. Depending on results, the company would then apply for a drill permit to test the targets.

Inca’s Riqueza project is six to nine months ahead of Cerro Rayas on the exploration curve as highlighted in the recently completed sampling program for which assay results are pending.

The company is also awaiting the granting of drill permits at the Riqueza project.

Inca’s share price has tripled since the beginning of 2016, last trading at $0.017.

The company had a cash balance of $2.3 million as at 30 September 2016.

The 31 newly discovered veins and mantos (polymetallic replacement deposits) are located at the Humaspunco and Pinta prospects and take the total number of mineralised bodies from 30 to 61.

The Riqueza Project is turning out to be highly prospective, with peak grades from Inca’s June mapping and sampling at Pinta grading 10% zinc, 240 g/t silver and 11.5% lead.

The frequency of discovery and the doubling of known mineralised bodies suggests more discoveries are expected in areas not yet covered.

The manto horizons discovered at Humaspunco and Pinta do appear part of a large manto horizon system, 2 kilometres by 800 metres and open ended to the south.

The extensions to the high-grade manto sequence may provide a significant increase in size and tonnage potential at Riqueza.

Samples from the August program have been submitted to the laboratory, with assay results expected to be reported in September.

Inca Minerals is well funded after raising more than $2.9 million recently from a rights issue and a share placement.

The purpose of the program was to commence investigating an unexplored area, the Pinta Prospect, centred 700 metres east of the Humaspunco Prospect.

The Uchpanga Prospect was also revisited during this program. The results confirm that, in addition to hosting strong zinc mineralisation, Uchpanga also hosts strong silver and gold.

Vein assay results at Uchpanga from the recent program include 6.46% zinc, 799 g/t silver, 11.76% lead and 3.59 g/t gold.

Mapping and sampling is now 25% complete at Humaspunco, 10% complete at Uchpanga and 5% complete at Pinta with the majority of the concession area yet to be covered.

Currently, Riqueza hosts a total of 30 mineralised bodies including 26 at Humaspunco; 1 vein and associated 750 metres long gossan at Uchpanga and 3 veins at Pinta.

Additional discoveries are expected to occur with numerous vein-like structures known at all three prospects and in other parts of the project area.

The results from a new mapping and sampling program are expected to be available in late August or early September 2016.

Inca Minerals raised more than $2 million in July from a rights issue and a share placement.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals Ltd finds promising zinc, silver and gold in Peru ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137201/inca-minerals-ltd-finds-promising-zinc-silver-and-gold-in-peru--68999.html Inca Minerals Ltd (ASX:ICG), which acquired the zinc-silver-lead Riqueza Project in Peru earlier this year, has returned promising assay results from its recent sampling and mapping program.

Peak values were 20.96% zinc, 920g/t silver, 16.71% lead and 2.65g/t gold at Uchpanga Prospect.

Peak values at Humaspunco Prospect were 18.06% zinc, 418g/t silver and 44.41% lead.

The results confirm the prospectivity of Inca’s Uchpanga and Humaspunco Prospects at Riqueza, which has an area of 4,600 hectares.

The sampling and mapping program also showed that targets at the two prospects are open-ended in multiple directions.

The high gold grade is a lucrative development for Riqueza, which is a primarily zinc-silver-lead focused project.

The Uchpanga Prospect exhibits a circa 750+ metre long gossan that is one of the largest individual targets for the company.

Last month, Inca placed 35.57 fully paid million shares at $0.003 per share with existing and former shareholders to raise funds for exploration at the Riqueza Project and for working capital.

Previously, Inca placed 78 million shares at $0.003 per share with Resources Capital Fund VI L.P., its largest single shareholder and one of the world’s largest specialist resources funds. The Fund’s stake in Inca now stands at 18%.

Another sample marked a grade of 13.7g/t gold, helping revise the interpretation of the Chujcula vein which has returned a 3-metre intersection grading 10.83g/t gold, including 2 metres at 15.8g/t gold from 288 metres downhole.

The latest batch of assays followed up first-pass exploration at Chujcula where 3 metres of material has been found at 10.83g/t gold, 17.10g/t silver, 0.28% copper and 0.44% zinc from 287 metres. This sample contained 2 metres at 15.8g/t gold from 288 metres and 22.2g/t silver from 287 metres.

Another hole at Chujcula has returned grades of 3.41g/t gold, 26.0g/t silver and 0.31% copper at 97 metres.

Chujcula occurs in close juxtaposition to a broadly mineralised breccia and appears to be structurally related to it, while deriving its metal payload from melts associated with the underlying quartz monzonite/monzodiorite porphyry.

Preliminary 3D projections at Chanape have suggested a high sulphide zone may represent a strike and depth extension of Chujcula. If so, Chujcula would extend over 260 metres vertically, be open-ended at depth and be open-ended in the east-west direction.

Earlier this week, the discovery of a second porphyry at Chanape cemented the porphyry bona fides of the project. commensurately enhancing its exploration potential and value.

The multi-porphyry nature of Chanape geology reinforces its likeness to the 2.15-million-tonne Toromocho porphyry mine located only 30 kilometres to the northeast.

The project is only 30 kilometres from the 2.15 billion tonne Cu-Mo-Ag Toromocho porphyry mine

Last month Inca revealed that following recent discussions with Peruvian mining authorities, mobilisation has now been accelerated in readiness for the resumption of drilling at Chanape.

The company is positioned to follow up on its best drill holes to date as well as drill test areas where the strongest surface samples have been taken to date.

Having the capacity to drill 22,500 metres under the new permit provides Inca with both the capacity and the access necessary to test all the refined and defined priority targets in the highly prospective summit area of Chanape.

The ASX has this morning granted Inca a trading halt, pending details of a capital raising.

The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Monday 22nd June 2015, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.

Drilling will also test the grade epithermal gold mineralisation recently discovered at the summit of Chanape.

The company has now been granted an ASX trading halt pending an announcement concerning the approval status of its semi-detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (sdEIA) permit application.

The halt will last until the earlier of the announcement being made or the start of trade on Friday, 27th March 2015.

Earlier this month, it noted that the Ministerio de Energia y Minas (MEM) had not opened their official electronic portal SEAL due to its current workload.

While the company is optimistic about the likely outcome, until the SEAL is opened by MEM, Inca cannot obtain formal advice from MEM regarding its sdEIA permit application.

Inca's shares are currently in pre-open.

Highlights from the company's Chanape project in Peru include: 55 metres at 2.3% copper, 0.6g/t gold and 42.9g/t silver from close to surface.

Mineralisation provides nexus between upper epithermal Au-Ag-Cu mineralisation and lower porphyry Cu-Mo-Ag mineralisation.

Extensive target area provides upside for large scale porphyry system.

New permit set to deliver 22,500 metre drilling capacity.

The halt will be in place until the opening of trade on Monday 28th July 2014, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals delivers broad high-grade copper hit at Chanape, Peru ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137192/inca-minerals-delivers-broad-high-grade-copper-hit-at-chanape-peru-55231.html Inca Minerals (ASX:ICG) is expected to trade substantially higher today after a a 55 metre at 3% copper equivalent intersection at Chanape in Peru.

The interval assayed 55 metres at 2.3% copper, 0.6g/t gold and 42.90g/t silver from 155 metres, and included 10 metres at 5.35% copper, 0.015% molybdenum, 0.96g/t gold, and 83.68g/t silver for 6.7% Cueq from 186 metres.

This higher grade section itself included an even higher grade intercept of 4 metres at 8.9% copper 0.025% molybdenum, 1.14g/t gold, and 130.5g/t silver for 10.9% Cueq from 188 metres.

Assay results were also received from a second, nearer to surface breccia which gave 67 metres at 0.97g/t gold and 25.31g/t silver from surface, including 16 metres at 1.86g/t gold and 25.31g/t silver from 24 metres.

This newly discovered style of copper mineralisation in provides a nexus to underlying porphyry copper system, and multiple zones of mineralisation in numerous holes define a copper zone covering a vertical distance of 800 metres.

The occurrence of high-grade copper mineralisation with gold, silver and molybdenum in these stacked breccia bodies is important.

Gold and silver mineralisation in the new breccia is also of significance as it demonstrates that the inventory of potential gold-bearing bodies at Chanape is not limited to the 70 breccia pipes or gold bearing veins mapped to date.

Inca is presently capped at under $10 million and could be set for a market re-rating if drilling results of this calibre continue.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals reveals multiple copper intersections over 1% at Chanape porphyry, Peru ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137190/inca-minerals-reveals-multiple-copper-intersections-over-1-at-chanape-porphyry-peru-53644.html Inca Minerals (ASX: ICG) should trade higher on heavy volume after releasing assay results from its third deep hole drilled at Chanape in Peru.

Individual results included 11 metres at 1.39% copper, 29.93g/t silver and 263ppm molybdenum for a 1.76% copper equivalent from 770 metres, within a broader 97 metres at 0.46% copper, 9.48g/t silver and 106ppm molybdenum for 0.58% Cueq.

Four broad zones of strong mineralisation, averaging between 0.58% Cueq and 0.43% Cueq, form a contiguous down-hole section of 177 metres from 770 metres.

This composite section includes down-hole intersections greater than 1% Cueq over 62 metres between 770 metres and 1,047 metres.

These significant zones of mineralisation are contained within a broader zone of mineralisation with an interval of 283 metres at 0.32% copper, 6.73g/t silver and 83ppm from 764 metres.

Results signal that the porphyry system at Chanape contains grades of economic importance and as such, Chanape is confirmed as a genuine porphyry discovery of regional significance.

Notably, there appears to be a close association between the porphyry intersections in all deep holes and a large Spontaneous Potential (SP) anomaly sized at 750 metres by 750 metres, and is one of three SP centres within a much larger SP anomaly measuring 2.5 kilometres by 1 kilometre.

From this close spatial association it is apparent that this part of the mineralised system trends shallower to the north.

Given this close proximity between SP and porphyry mineralisation, Chanape’s mineralised porphyry system has the potential to host several porphyry zones, similar to Toromocho, the 2.15 billion tonne at 0.5%Cueq mine development, 30 kilometres away.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals hits 459m of copper porphyry mineralisation at Chanape in Peru ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137189/inca-minerals-hits-459m-of-copper-porphyry-mineralisation-at-chanape-in-peru-52660.html Inca Minerals (ASX: ICG) should trade higher after completing its third deep hole at Chanape in Peru, hitting its broadest copper porphyry interval to date.

An open-ended pyrite-chalcopyrite-bearing porphyry sequence of 459 metres from 590 metres was intersected, comprising monzodiorite, hydrothermal breccias and quartz-feldspar dykes.

The hole was collared south-east of the porphyry discovery hole, which contained a 220 metre interval of copper-gold-molybdenum-silver bearing porphyry, and south-east of the recently completed second deep hole which contained a 233 metre interval.

Excitingly, all three deep holes remain open at depth.

The porphyry interval in this third hole contains various forms of sulphide and quartz veining that is typical of mineralised copper porphyry systems.

Pyrite and chalcopyrite were the most common forms of metal sulphide, occurring as disseminations and stockwork with tourmaline-quartz veins.

There are varying levels of chalcopyrite interspersed throughout the sequence between trace amounts and 10%.

The chalcopyrite is typically associated with pyrite, tourmaline and/or quartz, and massive chalcopyrite was also noted in large vein form to 0.4 metres wide.

In combination, the three deep holes are pointing to a porphyry deposit of some carriage.

Assay results are pending, which is likely to attract further speculative buying, particularly with Inca still capitalised at a modest $10 million.

As an angled hole designed to intersect porphyry at depth, the upper sections of the hole were not expected to be mineralised

Sporadic spot highs of copper occur between 400 metres and 729 metres which relate to zones of chalcopyrite-veining.

Notably, a general increase of copper and molybdenum levels with depth is also evident.

Inca has now discovered mineralised porphyry in both of its two deep holes at the project.

The current drilling program at Chanape has resumed with a third deep hole scheduled to commence in one week’s time.

In addition, a wet-season environmental base line study has been completed, which is a requirement for a drill permit referred to as a Semi Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment.

Once granted this will provide a drill allowance of 20,000 metres, permitting uninterrupted drilling into the future.

Notable intersections were made, including 78 metres at 1.1 grams per tonne gold, 16.51 grams per tonne silver and 0.26% copper from 35 metres; and 66 metres at 0.93 grams per tonne gold, 14.64 grams per tonne silver and 0.24% copper from 33 metres.

Maximum values per metre were 17.4 grams per tonne gold, 257 grams per tonne silver, 4.1% copper and 1.5% lead.

The latest holes were drilled in the same direction to insect mineralisation previously identified at hydrothermal breccia Pipe 8 to measure width of mineralisation and investigate the contact with surrounding volcanics.

Importantly, the extent of gold, silver and copper mineralisation is now sufficiently defined to allow possible tonnage and grade calculations.

Therefore, over the coming months it is Inca's intention to quantify a gold, silver and copper resource target range associated with Breccia Pipe 8.

The current epithermal drilling program and follow-up geological mapping and sampling program are designed to develop the 70-plus breccias known to occur at Chanape.

Many of these breccias are known to contain gold and silver mineralisation and several are scheduled for drill testing prior to year's end.

The two new holes and one extension hole, focused on epithermal mineralisation, have uncovered visibly altered sulphide bearing volcanics and a new breccia pipe between 97.7 metres and 195.5 metres.

With a down-hole width of 97.8 metres the breccia is believed part of a much larger epithermal system, and as such is a notable discovery.

The projected position of the new breccia and another gold-bearing hydrothermal breccia coincides with the near-surface portion of a large chargeability anomaly previously identified.

The correlation between chargeability, lithology, alteration and sulphidisation suggests the chargeability anomaly is related to broadly-developed mineralisation, and the upper part of the anomaly may be related to underlying porphyry.

Inca recently completed a two-phased mapping, rock chip sampling and geophysical survey across two-thirds of the Chanape project area, revealing widespread epithermal gold and silver mineralisation and broad copper-silver-gold-molybdenum porphyry-associated geochemical and geophysical anomalies.

A total of 43 individual drill targets were generated, representing a significant increase in the number and quality of prospects at Chanape.

Once resumed, drilling is projected to continue into 2014.

All three holes intersected altered, sulphide-bearing volcanics and breccia zones.

Chanape is strategically located between Lima and the Toromocho copper, molybdenum, silver porphyry development owned by Chinalco Mining Corp International (HKG: 3668).

The company had generated 43 epithermal and porphyry drill targets have been generated across the within the Phase 1 and Phase 2 surface exploration areas, leading the company to expand its 2013 drilling program.

The remaining holes will be drilled following approval from the Ministerio de Energía y Minas of a modified permit, which is currently well advanced.

Chanape hosts epithermal gold and silver mineralisation to a known vertical depth of approximately 200 metres, with mineralisation most commonly associated with breccia bodies, but now also known to occur in altered intrusive rocks and volcanics.

Adding to the potential of the project, Chanape also hosts copper-molybdenum-silver-gold porphyry mineralisation with drilling earlier in the year intersecting mineralised porphyry below an epithermal gold-silver-bearing breccia body.

The drilling program follows an extensive series of geochemical and geophysical surveys involving 697 rock chip samples, 40 kilometres of induced polarisation and 25 kilometres of ground magnetics.

Rockchips from Phase 1 included grades of up to 18.95g/t gold and 152g/t silver.

This pre-drilling exploration work generated an array of quality drill targets for both epithermal and porphyry mineralisation.

The targets cover a broad section of the total project area and importantly, all occur within the 2.5 kilometre by 1 kilometre Spontaneous Potential Anomaly area

This is an interesting new phase for Inca as it seeks to understand the complexities of the dual system and locate the large mineralised system believed to underlay their tenement holdings in Peru.

The company’s flagship project is the Chanape Porphyry Project, which is located in the Yanacocha Pierina gold-silver belt of Peru that hosts over 75 million ounces of gold.

All previous exploration confirms that a large porphyry system is present at Chanape, which lies near to the 1.4 billion tonne Toromocho copper-silver-molybdenum porphyry.

Coincident geophysics, geochemistry, epithermal gold, silver, copper mineralisation and alteration patterns strongly indicate the presence of a porphyry system at Chanape.

Only one of the 50 breccia pipes has been adequately drilled in first pass drilling, and it returned an intersection of more than 2 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent over 100 metres from surface, which is open-ended.

Inca recently announced that the porphyry discovered at Chanape extends to the bottom of a recent drill hole. This was at a depth of 600 metres and is open ended.

The sulphide-bearing monzonite porphyry was discovered below Breccia Pipe 8.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals discovers sulphide bearing porphyry is open at depth ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137178/inca-minerals-discovers-sulphide-bearing-porphyry-is-open-at-depth-39210.html Inca Minerals (ASX:ICG) looks to be onto something after finding that a porphyry discovered at its Chanape Porphyry Project in Peru extends to the bottom of drill hole CH-DDH001.

This was at a depth of 600 metres and is open ended.

The sulphide-bearing monzonite porphyry was discovered below Breccia Pipe 8.

The monzonite porphyry between the interval of 500 metres and 600 metres is brecciated and highly altered, and contains pyrite, chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite, as it does higher in the porphyry interval.

Sampling of CH-DDH001 is due to be completed in the next couple of days and the assay results will be provided when received.

Samples have also been submitted for petrographic analysis to more closely examine the many varied sulphide types in the monzonite porphyry and a complete set of samples is being taken for hydrothermal mineral mapping purposes.

CH-DDH002 has now also been completed, which completes the drilling program.

It was drilled into Breccia Pipe 11, which is adjacent to and possibly joins with Breccia Pipe 10 at depth.

Breccia Pipe 10 contains gold mineralisation to 200 metres as previously announced to the ASX. Breccia Pipe 11 in CH-DDH002 is highly altered and contains sulphides including pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and galena (Pb-sulphide).

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals discovers sulphide-bearing porphyry in Peru ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137177/inca-minerals-discovers-sulphide-bearing-porphyry-in-peru-38816.html Inca Minerals (ASX: ICG) has discovered a sulphide-bearing monzonite porphyry below Breccia Pipe 8, at the company's flagship Chanape Porphyry Project in Peru.

The monzonite porphyry occurs at 380 metres and is open-ended at 500 metres, with the hole to be extended to at least 600 metres. Of interest - the monzonite porphyry does not outcrop nor appear in other previous drilling.

Inca said that the monzonite porphyry is believed to be associated with and responsible for the emplacement of gold-silver-copper bearing Breccia Pipe 8, which occurs above it

Breccia Pipe 8 has an average grade of 1.3g/t gold, 24g/t silver and 0.2% copper, with a trend-line in copper increasing with depth.

Worth noting, rockchip sampling nearCH-DDH001 (the drill hole) returned grades up to 11.25g/t gold, 26.1g/t silver and 0.5% copper.

Sampling of CH-DDH001 is continuing with assay results available in the near future.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals granted exploration permit for Peruvian porphyry project ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137176/inca-minerals-granted-exploration-permit-for-peruvian-porphyry-project-38503.html Inca Minerals (ASX: ICG) will soon begin maiden drilling at its flagship Chanape Porphyry Project in Peru following the granting of an exploration permit.

The permit was granted by the Ministerio De Energia Y Mias, and paves the way for drilling to begin.

Chanape is located in the Yanacocha Pierina gold-silver belt which hosts over 75 million ounces of gold.

All previous exploration confirms that a large porphyry system is present at Chanape, which lies near to the 1.4 billion tonne Toromocho copper-silver-molybdenum porphyry.

A drill rig is currently located at Breccia Pipe 8, on of 50 breccias within the project, where a deep drill hole is planned to test the extension of known gold, silver and copper mineralisation

Previous drilling returned an average of 1.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 24g/t silver and 0.2% copper over 100 metres from surface.

Another hole is planned to investigate Breccia Pipe 11.

Coincident geophysics, geochemistry, epithermal gold, silver, copper mineralisation and alteration patterns strongly indicate the presence of a porphyry system at Chanape.

Only one of the 50 breccia pipes has been adequately drilled in first pass drilling, and it returned an intersection of more than 2g/t gold equivalent over 100 metres from surface, which is open-ended.

Inca recently closed its capital raising oversubscribed, adding A$805,000 to its cash reserves.

The company issued 40.25 million shares at $0.02 each to professional and sophisticated investors.

The funds raised will be allocated to phase 1 of Inca’s drilling campaign at Chanape.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals on capital raising drive ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137175/inca-minerals-on-capital-raising-drive-37186.html Inca Minerals (ASX: ICG) has a capital raising in the pipeline and has requested a trading halt from the ASX.

The company is focused on exploration at its flagship Chanape Project in Peru where it has discovered a gold-silver-copper porphyry system.

Inca recently delivered assays of 46 metres at 2.05 grams per tonne of gold equivalent from 15 metres.

The assays from recently sampled core of Breccia Pipe 10 confirm continuous gold and silver mineralisation from surface to 200 metres depth.

Chanape is located in the Yanacocha Pierina gold-silver belt which hosts over 75 million ounces of gold.

All previous exploration confirms that a large porphyry system is present at Chanape.

The halt will last until the earlier of an announcement being made to the market, or the opening of trade on Friday 14th December.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals assay returns 46m at 2.05g/t Aueq in Peru project ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137174/inca-minerals-assay-returns-46m-at-205gt-aueq-in-peru-project-36629.html Inca Minerals (ASX:ICG) has identified significant gold anomalies at its Chanape gold project in Peru, with further assay results returning 46m at 2.05 grams per tonne of gold equivalent, from 15 metres to 61 metres.

Inca had already identified significant gold mineralisation from the surface to a depth of 200 metres in a hydrothermal breccia called Breccia Pipe 10 and further assay of its diamond drill hole confirmed the continuous nature of both gold and silver mineralisation at drill targets.

The average grade over the entire 200 metre interval from surface is 0.71 grams per tonne gold and 5.34 grams per tonne of silver, which includes: 101 metres at 1.18 grams per tonne of gold and 7.27 grams per tonne of silver between 15 metre and 116 metre depth, and 46 metre at 1.82 grams per tonne.

The Breccia Pipe 10 is thought to be magnetic hydrothermal breccia body and associated with proximal mineralised porphyry.

Inca is likely to drill test another target Breccia Pipe 8 which reported similar gold, silver values of 2.06 grams per tonne of gold equivalent from surface to 100 metres. It will also drill test Breccia Pipe 11 to define deposit boundaries.

There are a total of 50 breccia bodies at Chanape including breccia pipes and breccia veins, of which only one Breccia Pipe 8 has been adequately drill tested.

The 50 breccia bodies at Chanape occur as a large cluster covering an area of approximately 6 square kilometres.

Inca has already received approval on its environmental impact study and is in the process of securing its exploration permit, with drilling likely to commence in mid-December.

Inca's Chanape gold, silver and copper Porphyry Project is located approximately 90 kilometres east of Lima, inthe Pieri na-Yanacocha Epithermal Gold Porphyry Belt, which also contains 75 million ounce of known gold reserves.

Chinalco's Toromocho 1.5 billion tonnes Cu-Ag-Mo porphyry mine development, scheduled for production in 2013, is located 30 kilometres to the northeast of Chanape.

Approval from the Checa community paves the way for final approvals and the start of drilling.

The Checa community own the surface rights of the Chanape Project.

Inca plans to drill test the mineralised breccia pipes that were identified in previous exploration.

Breccia Pipe 8 has open ended mineralisation at 2.06 grams per tonne gold equivalent from surface to over 100 metres, while Breccia Pipe 10 has gold mineralisation to 200 metres from surface.

Both breccias are interpreted as magmatic hydrothermal breccia pipes and believed to be associated with proximal porphyry.

A BRAMSA LD-250 diamond core drill rig has been contracted and will have the capacity to drill to depths required.

Exploration conducted to date at Chanape points to the presence of a large gold-silver-copper porphyry system.

The project is located around 90 kilometres east of Lima, in the Pierina Gold Porphyry Belt.

Chinalco's 1.5 billion tonne Toromocho copper-silver-molybdenum porphyry mine development, scheduled for production in 2013, is located 30 kilometres to the northeast of Chanape.

Chanape has been shown to host widespread gold, silver and base metal mineralisation at surface in both breccia veins and breccia pipes.

In excess of 50 breccia bodies define a breccia cluster over a 2 kilometre by 1 kilometre area.

<![CDATA[News - Inca Minerals’ relogging of drill core points to potential porphyry deposit at Chanape ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/137171/inca-minerals-relogging-of-drill-core-points-to-potential-porphyry-deposit-at-chanape--31971.html Inca Minerals (ASX: ICG) is proving up the potential of its Chanape gold-copper-silver project in Peru to be a porphyry host with the completion of re-logging of previous diamond drill core that shows widespread porphyry-style alteration.

The June-July field program comprised re-logging and sampling of 2,352 metres of diamond drill core, previously drilled by another explorer, and geological mapping in an area covering Breccias 8, 10 and 11.

Despite the fact that porphyry style alteration was widely logged, large sections of the core had remained un-sampled, including intervals now recognised as porphyry.

Gold-bearing Breccia Pipe 8 has been confirmed as hydrothermal, indicating proximity to a porphyry centre.

Breccia 8 was drilled in the past and returned highly encouraging drill intersections.

Further building on the porphyry potential, additional hydrothermal breccia was also identified in the process of mapping Breccia 10 and 11.

Core sample assays are pending.

Drilling is set to begin at Chanape in September to understand the relationship between the mineralised and hydrothermally altered breccia pipes and the underlying porphyry system.

Chanape

Chanape is located around 90 kilometres east of Lima, in the Pierina Gold Porphyry Belt, and 30 kilometres southwest of Chinalco's Toromocho 1.5 billion tonne copper-silver-molybdenum porphyry mine development, scheduled for production in 2013.

All previous exploration at Chanape points to the presence of a large porphyry system with the co-existence of a large 3 kilometre by 2 kilometre breccia zone.
