Fertoz is an Australian listed fertilizer supplier that markets and develops a range of organic fertilizer products in North America and Australia.
The Fernie Mining Project (100% owned)
The Fernie mining project is made up of Marten, Barnes Lake, Crowsnest (Pump Station East), Mt. Lyne, Graves Lake and Bighorn. It’s located near Sparwood, the second largest Elk River community in British Columbia, and totals over 9033.15 hectares. The claims are all inside 40 kilometers of each other and are close to the East Kootenay coalfield. Adjacent to the project lies road and rail transportation to the west coast ports of Canada, as well as major rail and road systems of North America. Surveys revealed extensive sedimentary deposits on surface containing rock phosphate associated with the base of the Jurassic Fernie Formation.
Mining Projects in Alberta, Canada
The Fernie sedimentary phosphate ore bodies extend into southeastern Alberta. These contain Lower Jurassic Fernie Formation phosphate. We filed for Permits (claims) and these were granted over a strike length of about 12km in Alberta for an area of >1,000ha. Road access is available along the entire 12km strike length. Grade of phosphate is similar to that found in BC with assays up to 25 percent P2O5. A permit for a bulk sample has been received for the northern claim. Prospecting and geological mapping is ongoing. Detailed permits are underway. As with all Fertoz ore resource holdings, the phosphate is high quality, low in metals and ideal as organic rock phosphate products. Alberta ore mining is expected to commence in Summer of 2019 and will be available to Western Canadian Producers.
The Wapiti Project
The Wapiti Mining Project (100% owned)
The Wapiti mining project is 11,870 hectares of rock phosphate near Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. Forest Service and sealed roads allow for easy access to the work site, and the Canadian National Railway runs through Tumbler Ridge. Surveys indicate a phosphate-bearing horizon on surface which maintains the continuity of its potential strike length for up to 39km. Phosphate tests show up to 10 percent availability, making the phosphate from the Wapiti Mining Project appealing to North American organic market—the world’s largest.
