Geochemical results are still pending but initial indications show correlation with previous rock chip results which graded up to 2% copper and 0.25 g/t gold in quartz stockwork veins within altered monzonite intrusives.

Once assays have been interpreted Emmerson will target the most prospective areas to undertake geophysical induced polarisation (IP) surveys.

The IP surveys will provide insights into the underlying alteration and mineralisation ahead of drilling.

Emmerson managing director Rob Bills said the expanded geochemical survey at Whatling Hill continued to exhibit the hallmarks of an early-stage discovery.

Bills said: “Alteration and quartz-veining from this expanded auger drill program suggests extensions of the original mineralisation to the south.

“Assay results are pending and, if positive, will provide a focus for future geophysical and drilling programs.”

Bills said the company had demonstrated its confidence in the prospectivity and potential of the area by expanded its ground position in the region.

He added: “These copper-gold porphyry deposits typically cluster and we are in a very fertile metallogenic province, bounded by the Macquarie Arc and Lachlan Transfer Zone.”

Alteration encountered by the auger drilling consists of widespread epidote and chlorite alteration which is consistent with intersecting the outer zone of a porphyry copper-gold system.

Emmerson believes that the recent assay results, combined with the previous rock chip results, have expanded the prospective footprint of the system to over 4 square kilometres.

The grid-based auger program also intersected altered monzonite intrusives and volcanics which are believed to be consistent with the host rocks of other Ordovician-aged porphyry systems in the belt.

Examples of these systems are Cadia-Ridgeway, mined by Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX:NCM) and containing 8.7 million tonnes of copper and 42 million ounces of gold, and China Molybdenum’s Northparkes deposit.

The company will use its geological and geophysical data to pinpoint the best parts of the mineralisation in its upcoming exploration work given that Whatling Hill has never been drill tested nor seen systematic exploration.

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources forms transformational alliance, raises cash at 56% premium ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/204292/emmerson-resources-forms-transformational-alliance-raises-cash-at-56-premium-204292.html Emmerson Resources Ltd (ASX:ERM) has finalised a game-changing strategic alliance with a subsidiary of Territory Resources Ltd (ASX:TTY).

The alliance forms a mining and exploration joint venture over 25% of Emmerson’s Tennant Creek landholding, an area known as the Southern Project Area (SPA).

The alliance will facilitate the construction of a modern processing mill, fast-track the development of Emmerson’s small mining projects and provide funding for SPA exploration.

TTY commits to building new mill

Emmerson has entered into a binding agreement to sell its mothballed Warrego Mill and Mining Lease 30888 to TTY in exchange for TTY building a 300,000 tonnes per annum CIP mill.

The modular nature of the processing facility under construction means TTY expects the plant to be in operation by the end of 2018 or early 2019.

Alliance includes $2 million placement

As part of the alliance, TTY has subscribed for 19.3 million Emmerson shares priced at 10.35 cents, representing a 56.82% premium to the last traded price.

The investment will raise $2 million in two $1 million tranches, which will support Emmerson’s ongoing exploration activities.

Alliance to accelerate mining and processing

TTY is an experienced mining and processing operator with a successful track record at other sites around Australia.

Emmerson and TTY have negotiated profit share and gold royalty agreements pertaining to the development and mining of potential mining projects within the SPA.

Mine planning and scheduling by TTY are well underway, with a number of both open cut and underground mines planned concurrently.

Emmerson’s managing director Rob Bills said: “The structure of the Mining and Processing Agreement will see Emmerson receive a 25% profit share from the mining operations except for Edna Beryl and Chariot, where Emmerson will be entitled to a portion of the gold ore produced (12% and 6% respectively).”

READ: Emmerson Resources granted halt pending proposed Tennant Creek joint venture agreement

Bills added: “For Emmerson shareholders, it provides a low-risk pathway to commercial production from our smaller mines and importantly will generate funding for ongoing exploration programs in the Northern Territory and New South Wales.

“The A$5 million earn-in funding being provided by TTY for the Southern Project Area will further build the pipeline of mining projects to feed the new milling facility under construction by TTY.

“This Strategic Alliance and milling facility will see the re-establishment of Tennant Creek as an integrated exploration, mining, and processing hub – thus realising Emmerson’s long-held vision and that of the NT Government.”

The soil sampling supports previous rock chips that assayed up to 2% copper and 0.25 g/t gold.

READ: Emmerson Resources plans busy September quarter

Emmerson’s managing director Rob Bills said: “The soil geochemical program over our recently discovered Whatling Hill copper-gold project continues to exhibit the hallmarks of an early stage discovery.

“Geochemical and rockchip sampling indicate the mineralisation remains open to the south.

“A further round of auger drilling is planned to test for immediate extensions to Whatling Hill and also test a regional target some 5 kilometres to the south.”

Open to the south, further exploration planned

The geochemical contours are open to the south and further sampling is currently being planned.

Given that Whatling Hill has never been drill tested nor seen systematic exploration, the proposed exploration program aims to pinpoint the best parts of the mineralisation of what Emmerson now considers a large copper-gold system.

Typically such systems occur in clusters

Typically these porphyry style systems occur in clusters and regional reconnaissance suggests immediate targets some 1.5 kilometres south of Whatling Hill.

Also, based on the results of the green rock study, a second area has been identified 5 kilometres to the south.

Both areas will be systematically tested in the forthcoming geochemical program, followed by ground-based induced polarisation (IP) geophysics to better define drill targets.

New tenements granted

Emmerson has been granted a new tenement to consolidate its ground position at Fifield and Kadungle within the Lachlan Transfer Zone.

Bills added: “Based on success at both Whatling Hill and Kadungle, Emmerson has consolidated its ground position in anticipation of further discoveries – given that these copper-gold porphyry deposits typically cluster and that we are in a very fertile metallogenic province, bounded by the Macquarie Arc and Lachlan Transfer Zone.”

Reverse circulation drilling intersected thick, high-grade gold, silver and copper with elevated bismuth and cobalt.

Highlights include 26 metres at 8.9 g/t gold, 85 g/t silver, 0.49% copper and 0.13% bismuth from 53 metres.

READ: Emmerson Resources signs deal to build processing facility for its small mines

Emmerson’s managing director Rob Bills said: “The success of this first round of drilling at Mauretania has confirmed the potential for high grades and expanding both the shallow and deeper mineralisation.

“Our aim is to include the project in our small to medium mines portfolio in support of the recent strategic alliance with Territory Resources.

“This portfolio of small mines can be monetised via processing at the refurbished Warrego Mill on a profit share basis and provide funding to continue our exploration program targeting larger mines at Tennant Creek and in New South Wales.”

Mauretania to be part of small mines strategy

Three of the five reverse circulation (RC) holes at Mauretania intersected significant mineralisation.

This latest drilling together with the geochemical footprint, now suggests great potential for down dip and strike extensions to the mineralisation.

Metallurgical test work will be completed on samples from the recent drill program in support of future development.

Bills added: "Encouragingly, much of the higher grade material at Mauretania is within the upper 100 metres and thus amenable to possible open pit mining."

Potential for shallow underground mine at West Gibbet

A single RC pre-development hole was also drilled at West Gibbet and intersected 7 metres at 7 g/t gold from 66 metres including 1 metre at 16.6 g/t gold and 2 metres at 12.4 g/t gold.

Previous drill results at West Gibbet intersected very high grades of 9 metres at 95.5 g/t gold within the oxide zone, some 74 metres from surface.

This recent new hole drilled was aimed at confirming the tenor of the historical drill hole and to provide a bulk metallurgical sample, ahead of converting this target to a small mine.

Upcoming drill program targeting Northern Corridor

Drilling of new high-value copper, gold and cobalt targets within the Northern Corridor at Tennant Creek is set to begin next quarter.

Bills added: "Emmerson’s exploration programs are designed to discover more of these high-value deposits and we await with anticipation, the results of the now completed airborne EM geophysical survey over the Northern Corridor at Tennant Creek.

"This survey is aimed at detecting the signatures of these systems through either directly detecting copper sulphides or the associated clay alteration at the base of oxidation.

"Thus our next drill program will be particularly exciting as it will be focussed on new hematite hosted, high grade, multi-metal (gold, copper, cobalt, bismuth, silver) targets generated from this geophysical survey."

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources reveals early stage copper-gold discovery in New South Wales ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/198829/emmerson-resources-reveals-early-stage-copper-gold-discovery-in-new-south-wales-198829.html Emmerson Resources Limited (ASX:ERM) has received encouraging results from the first pass fieldwork at the Whatling Hill copper-gold prospect within its Fifield project in New South Wales.

Interestingly, Whatling Hill exhibits several features of an early stage porphyry copper-gold discovery including:

• Highly anomalous rock chip samples up to 0.25 g/t gold and 2% copper;
• Outcrops of intrusive inferred to be of similar age and character to other world-class deposits in the belt (Cadia-Ridgeway and North Parkes); and
• Current auger drilling program returning visible chalcopyrite and extensive alteration.

This Whatling Hill area falls within a regionally significant metallogenic province, bounded by the Lachlan Transfer Zone (LTZ) and the Ordovician age, Macquarie Arc.

Given the promising results, Emmerson has accelerated exploration at Whatling Hill where an auger rig is currently completing a large geochemical program to accurately define the underlying mineralisation and guide future drilling.

Field-based activities continuing across the projects

Emmerson has now completed first pass fieldwork at its 100%-owned Fifield, Sebastopol, Temora, Kiola and Wellington projects in New South Wales.

Field-based activities are continuing across the projects, with rock chip results up to 27.8 g/t gold at Sebastopol and 19.6% copper at Kiola.

Hallmarks of a promising gold-rich porphyry copper system

Emmerson managing director Rob Bills said: “The Whatling Hill discovery is further testament to the effectiveness of the science-based, systematic exploration that Emmerson is conducting across its project areas in New South Wales.

“A discovery across any of these projects has the potential to be transformational for the company – particularly given the paucity of new copper-gold projects and the competition for new resources from the other major players in the field such as Newcrest Mining, Fortescue, Evolution Mining, China Molybdenum, Regis Resources, Sandfire and Aurelia Metals.

“Whilst Whatling Hill is still at an early stage, it features all the hallmarks of a promising gold-rich porphyry copper system.”

In exchange, Territory will build a modern processing facility on the site and prioritise the processing of ore from Emmerson’s assets over other third-party ore.

Emmerson managing director Rob Bills said: “The development of a modern centralised processing facility at Warrego is a major step forward to establishing an integrated exploration, mining and processing hub in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field.

READ: Emmerson Resources gets overwhelming shareholder support for Tennant Creek strategy

Bills added “This is something Emmerson has been championing for some time as it has the potential to unlock stranded gold assets in the region and is consistent with our strategy of monetising our smaller, high-grade resources.

“This will generate additional funding for one of the most exciting exploration programs in the history of Emmerson – aimed at discovery of high-grade gold, copper and cobalt, similar to our recent discoveries at Edna Beryl and Jasper Hills.”

First gold production expected to occur in late 2018

Territory is an experienced mining and processing operator with a successful track record at other sites around Australia.

Emmerson and Territory will work collaboratively to establish profit share or royalty agreements pertaining to the mining and processing of Emmerson’s portfolio of mines and tailings at Warrego.

Territory’s intention is to construct a modern, 300,000 tonnes per annum processing facility on the Warrego Mill lease.

First gold production is projected to occur in late 2018 – contingent on receiving the necessary regulatory approvals.

Joint venture over Tennant Creek tenements

As part of the strategic alliance, Territory will enter into an earn-in and potential joint venture over Emmerson’s southern tenements, subject to reaching agreement on the commercial terms.

This area is the most gold endowed portion of the Tennant Creek Mineral Field.

Black Snake Mine

Emmerson’s Black Snake gold project is located in the southern tenements, about 70 kilometres southeast from the proposed Central Processing Facility.

The recent approval by the Northern Territory Government for a mining operation at Black Snake gives Emmerson an opportunity to fast-track development of a second small mining project after Edna Beryl.

Under the restructure, Emmerson retains 100% ownership of the majority of the tenements representing about 94% (about 2,600 square kilometres) of the entire tenement package.

It includes the gold dominant projects, small mines and associated exploration ground considered highly prospective for new discoveries.

Emmerson managing director Rob Bills said: “Emmerson has wasted no time in capitalising on the opportunity of generating new projects in what is now 100% Emmerson ground.

“The recent high-grade cobalt, copper and gold discovery at Jasper Hills highlights the potential of the project area.

“We are also currently working to build on this discovery momentum with extensional drilling of several high-grade gold projects and a helicopter borne geophysical survey searching for new gold, copper and cobalt deposits.”

READ: Emmerson Resources begins survey for further cobalt, copper and gold at Tennant Creek

Following the restructure, Emmerson holds a 100% interest in the Tribute Mining Agreement at Edna Beryl and all the other small mine projects in Tennant Creek.

The company is currently midway through a 2,400-meter drilling program, seeking to add the Malbec and West Gibbet targets to its small mines portfolio, and further exploring the Mauritania greenfield discovery.

Elsewhere at Tennant Creek, an airborne electromagnetic survey of Jasper Hills and Edna Beryl areas has recently concluded, and that data being compiled now.

Greater near-term value for shareholders

For Emmerson, the restructure unlocks the potential for greater near-term value for its shareholders and provides a better strategic fit in terms of delivering high margin projects across a shorter time.

In addition, Emmerson retains the data acquired from testing and trialling of new concepts and technology on assets such as the Tennant Creek Exploration Base and Warrego Mill.

This will enable the company to easily scale up exploration and operations around its small mines, plus attract potential new joint venture partners.

The survey is over a highly prospective belt of rocks termed the northern corridor, which is defined by a regional gravity ridge which hosts a variety of gold, copper and now with the inclusion of Jasper Hills, cobalt.

Shares are up almost 10% early afternoon to 10 cents.

READ: Emmerson Resources shares rise on high-grade cobalt, copper, gold hits at Tennant Creek

Recent high-grade hits from Jasper Hills include 14 metres at 6.72 g/t gold, 0.28% cobalt and 2.17% copper from 284 metres, including 5 metres at 16.6 g/t gold and 2 metres at 1.32% cobalt.

The restructuring of the Tennant Creek Mineral Field JV with Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) has enabled Emmerson to focus on the generation of new targets within the 2,600 square kilometre project area retained by Emmerson.

Emmerson discovered high-grade copper and gold at the Goanna prospect back in 2012 utilising geological models and airborne electrical geophysics.

The company is now capitalising on this know-how and deploying an even more powerful and sophisticated airborne system that utilises the very latest technology.

Significant potential to pinpoint further mineralisation

Emmerson has signed a deal with New Resolution Geophysics (NRG) to fly their latest helicopter-borne, time domain electromagnetic (HTDEM) system.

The association of cobalt and copper sulphides that characterise most of the deposits and prospects in the northern corridor is expected to generate detectable signatures for the HTDEM.

This combined with Emmerson’s understanding of the formation of these deposit types provides great potential to pinpoint further mineralisation.

Drilling to extend producing gold mine

Emmerson will commence a drill campaign later this month at the Edna Beryl district within the Tennant Creek project.

The drilling will be aimed at delineating extensions outside the Edna Beryl Mine area, where the company is currently producing gold bars via a royalty agreement with a specialist small-scale miner.

Emmerson will also test for extensions to a promising new discovery called Mauretania, with the remainder of the drill holes spread across other potential small mine projects.

The company’s shares were up as much as 18% intra-day, at 9.3 cents

WATCH: Emmerson Resources pouring gold bars while exploring cobalt

The highlight results include:

• 28 metres at 5.83 g/t gold, 0.17% cobalt and 8.52% copper from 108 metres, including 2 metres at 50.1 g/t gold and 10.5% copper;
• 14 metres at 6.72 g/t gold, 0.28% cobalt and 2.17% copper from 284 metres, including 5 metres at 16.6 g/t gold and 2 metres at 1.32% cobalt and 2% copper; and
• 15 metres at 7 g/t gold from 295 metres including 6 metres at 14.9 g/t gold.

Emmerson managing director Rob Bills said: “Although early days, the indicative cobalt grades at Jasper Hills compare favourably with other Australian projects of CleanTeQ (~0.1% Co), Australian Mines (~0.11% Co), Metals X (~0.08% Co), Barra Resources (~0.13% Co).

“Whilst these projects have associated metals, Jasper Hills is unique given the combined metal grades (copper, gold and cobalt) which provide potential for very high value ores.”

The restructuring of the Tennant Creek Mineral Field JV with Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) has enabled Emmerson to focus on the generation of new targets within the 2,600 square kilometre project area which is being retained by Emmerson.

The Northern Corridor at Tennant Creek hosts the high-grade Edna Beryl gold mine and has excellent potential for further deposits of gold, copper and now at Jasper Hills, the addition of high-grade cobalt.

Emmerson is already producing gold bars from the Edna Beryl mine within Tennant Creek via a royalty agreement with a specialist small-scale miner.

New exploration program being finalised

The resource estimate for Jasper Hills is expected to be completed in the current June quarter.

Jasper Hills is unique given the combined metal grades (copper, gold and cobalt) which provide the potential for high-value ores.

Emmerson has considerable experience in the exploration for this style of mineralisation, with discoveries at Edna Beryl, Mauretania and Goanna.

The Northern Corridor has excellent potential for further discoveries and a new exploration program for targets within the area is close to being finalised.

The Sydney-based fund, which specialises in small-cap gold sector investments, has bought close to 5 million shares and now holds about 55 million shares in Emmerson.

Emmerson is already generating cash flows under a tributary agreement from its eight small gold mines, which are being ramped up to produce in series, with a second gold bar expected to be poured from Edna Beryl soon.

Drilling at Tennant Creek is ongoing, with fresh drilling at high-grade projects identified under the former JV set to commence this month.

But the real story for 2018 surrounds a cobalt-copper project that will be announced soon, and an early stage cobalt-manganese project in New South Wales.

A deed of variation has been executed, reaffirming Emmerson’s retention of 100% ownership of the majority of the Tennant Creek tenements.

Evolution will take ownership of those tenements associated with the Gecko-Goanna-Orlando copper-gold prospects pending shareholder approval.

Approval would appear to be a formality given both companies are in agreement regarding the benefits that stem from the new restructuring agreement.

The right direction for both companies

As a much larger company, Evolution will be in a position to fund what is likely to be a fairly capital-intensive exploration program at the early stage Gecko-Goanna-Orlando prospects.

In contrast, the more advanced cash generating smaller scale operations such as the Edna Beryl Gold Project will progress under the full ownership of Emmerson.

From an exploration perspective, Emmerson is poised to begin drilling various gold, copper and cobalt targets in April.

This development is in keeping with the company’s strategy as it looks to maximise value from its Northern Territory assets while generating cash flow to explore opportunities in New South Wales.

WATCH: Restructure of joint-venture deal the logical next step for Emmerson Resources

First production from a portion of the Edna Beryl Mine (Tribute Area) was outlined in December 2017.

Since then, plans have progressed for the commercial production from the Tribute Area which includes full-scale mining and processing.

This provides Emmerson with a risk-free income stream via a royalty agreement with the specialist small-scale miner, the Edna Beryl Mining Company.

This restructure will see Emmerson retain full control of the small mines and receive 100% of the revenue stream from the royalty proportional to the amount of gold produced.

Work is set to begin next month assessing gold, copper and cobalt targets with 2,100 metres of reverse circulation drilling to be carried out.

Eight holes are planned for the Edna Beryl district of Tennant Creek and are aimed at identifying extensions outside the mine area.

Previous drilling and gravity geophysics completed last year indicated there may be new mineralised hematite ironstones in the vicinity.

Testing extensions and continuity

A further five holes will test for extensions and continuity at a promising new discovery called Mauretania.

The remainder of the program, meanwhile, will be spread across potential small mines projects and are aimed at providing further geological and grade information for future planning purposes.

“Whilst the proposed restructure of the Tennant Creek JV with Evolution Mining is now being assessed by the regulators, Emmerson is wasting no time in capitalising on some very compelling gold, copper and cobalt opportunities that were previously not of priority under the terms of the previous JV,” said managing director Rob Bills.

High-grade discoveries

The company owns high grade gold discoveries made at Edna Beryl, Mauretania and Goanna (copper-gold).

It is also progressing a new style of hematite-cobalt-copper mineralisation, which while intersected in historical drilling, has yet to be exploited or explored.

JV changes outlined last month

The amendments to the Evolution Mining tie-up were outlined last month.

Under the restructure, Emmerson will retain a 100% (instead of 35%) of all the gold dominant assets, prospects and associated exploration ground.

Emmerson will also retain a 100% interest in the Tribute Mining Agreement at Edna Beryl.

Evolution will take a 100% holding in the tenements (or parts of them) that contain the Gecko, Goanna, and Orlando copper-gold prospects, constituting 6% of the TCMF land position.

These prospects are predominantly copper-rich.

The mutually beneficial proposed new ownership structure reflects the differing size and corporate objectives of the companies.

For Emmerson, it unlocks greater near-term value for shareholders and provides a better strategic fit in terms of delivering high margin projects across a shorter time horizon.

WATCH: Restructure of joint venture deal the logical next step for Emmerson Resources

Assets are now better aligned with each company

Rob Bills, managing director, said: “This proposed restructure better aligns the assets with the respective companies.

“It provides Emmerson shareholders with near term, high margin gold assets and exploration ground that can be more easily developed within the constraints of the Emmerson balance sheet.”

Evolution remains a significant shareholder of Emmerson

The chief geologist from Evolution agreed that a subdivision of the ground holding as proposed will allow both parties to take a 100% interest in their preferred prospects.

He went on to express that it was a smart outcome for both parties and that Evolution remains a significant shareholder of Emmerson.

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources generating revenues in 2018 to fund new projects ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/191416/emmerson-resources-generating-revenues-in-2018-to-fund-new-projects-191416.html Emmerson Resources Limited (ASX:ERM) has provided promising results from recent drilling in the New South Wales and the Northern Territory.

Importantly, Emmerson has outlined its strategy for 2018, and it is worth noting that the company is debt free, allowing it to continue with exploration and development programmes.

With a number of projects at various stages in the Northern Territory and New South Wales, as well as joint ventures and earn-in agreements, the strategy statement provides a useful insight.

Though significant emphasis was placed on the Edna Beryl Gold Project in 2017, 2018 is likely to see newsflow across all of the company's projects.

READ: Emmerson Resources digs deep at bonanza grade Edna Beryl gold-copper project

The results from the Kadungle Project in New South Wales are important as they represent the emergence of new gold-copper prospects in the Macquarie Arc region.

These complement the group’s exploration pursuits and continued production from the high-grade Edna Beryl Gold Mine.

Early stage results align with company strategy

A recently completed drilling campaign at Kadungle has identified the potential for both deeper copper-gold, and now, shallow epithermal gold at the Trig prospect.

Assays are pending, but the last drill hole at Trig intersected multiple epithermal veins which corresponded with boulders at surface that contain extensive quartz-hematite veins.

Previous rock chip sampling at Trig returned highly anomalous gold geochemistry with up to 1.27 g/t gold.

Earn-in terms met

Emmerson has notified Aurelia Metals Ltd (ASX:AMI) that it has met all the terms of the stage I earn-in to acquire a 60% share of the Kadungle project.

This recent round of drilling is part of the next stage II earn-in of $200,000 for 80% equity of the project.

Elsewhere in New South Wales, the company is focusing on higher value metals of gold and copper, and a cobalt prospect has been identified within the nearby Fifield project.

Whilst at an early stage, rock chip sampling of up to 0.55% cobalt and 0.27% copper has prompted further investigation.

Further drilling success at Tennant Creek

The recent drilling at the Gecko-Goanna Project in the Northern Territory further confirms the potential for non-ironstone hosted copper.

Better results included 4 metres at 2.87% copper from 122 metres and 3 metres at 3.63% copper, plus a deeper intersection of 6 metres at 4% copper from 137 metres.

Evolution Mining completes earn-in conditions

Funding for this recent drilling completes the Stage I earn-in obligation from the company’s joint venture partner, Evolution Mining Ltd (ASX:EVN).

Emmerson is now in discussions with Evolution regarding the future options for the Tennant Creek joint venture.

Management is confident that these discussions will deliver a mutually attractive path forward for the project.

The copper dominant Gecko-Goanna mineralisation stands in contrast to the high-grade gold deposits of the Tennant Creek Field.

Focus on Edna Beryl development

Emmerson recently announced first gold production from the processing of 1000 tonnes of ore from the development drive at the high-grade Edna Beryl gold mine.

Mining at Edna Beryl is via a Tribute Agreement with small mine specialist, the Edna Beryl Mining Company.

Emmerson’s share of the proceeds from Edna Beryl is proportional to the amount of gold extracted from the Tribute Area and its equity in the Tennant Creek joint venture.

Emmerson maintains its diversification with a variety of options in 2018

The near term focus is likely to be on Emmerson’s joint venture agreements and the projects that it prioritises.

Rob Bills, managing director, said: “Emmerson’s project portfolio is now diversified beyond Tennant Creek and attractive for development, either by Emmerson or third parties.

“We are confident that positive results across this portfolio will continue to build quality assets and consistency of news flow.

“Emmerson is one of few junior companies building a revenue stream from small high-grade mines.”

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources digs deep at bonanza grade Edna Beryl gold-copper project ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/190511/emmerson-resources-digs-deep-at-bonanza-grade-edna-beryl-gold-copper-project-190511.html While Emmerson Resources Limited (ASX:ERM) has a number of projects in play, its Edna Beryl gold-copper project is the most advanced.

Developments at the project which is in the Tennant Creek region of the Northern Territory have also been the main share price drivers over the past 18 months.

Substantial reratings occurred as the company moved from the release of bonanza grade drilling results to production.

Further exploration results and more recently the first gold pour in December reignited interest in the stock in December/January.

READ: Emmerson Resources pours first gold from Northern Territory mine

Share price surges of up to 50% have resulted from exploration news at Edna Beryl.

The first gold pour triggered sustained momentum over the last month as the company’s shares rallied 25% to a high of $0.098.

Diversification is the key in 2018

One of the issues for Emmerson is that its share price has tended to retrace relatively quickly following upbeat news and then remain at lower levels for extended periods.

This is where emerging projects could become strategically important, providing consistency of newsflow and a diversified asset base.

One of the company’s key areas of focus outside of the Northern Territory is the Macquarie Volcanic Arc region in the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales.

Macquarie Volcanic Arc hosts projects such as Cadia Valley

The volcanic belt that runs through Emmerson’s tenements hosts prominent porphyry related gold-copper deposits.

The most high profile of these is host to Newcrest Mining’s (ASX:NCM) Cadia Valley Project with circa 40 million ounces of gold and 8 million tonnes of copper.

Northparkes and Cowal both have resources of more than 2 million ounces of gold and circa 1.6 million tonnes of copper.

Northparkes is relatively close to Emmerson’s Fifield project.

Kadungle shows early stage promise

Fifield is one of the group’s projects in the Macquarie Arc region, and it has been the subject of reconnaissance and sampling programs.

Immediately adjacent to Fifield is the Kadungle Project where the company has progressed to a 60% interest, having met earn-in exploration expenditure of $300,000.

The company intends to move to 80% ownership as it completes the stage II earn-in expenditure of $200,000.

Drill results from Kadungle in keeping with regional geology

Emmerson’s first drill hole at Kadungle intersected high level epithermal gold-silver mineralisation and deeper porphyry copper-gold within an extensive zone.

This drill hole supports historical drilling where high-level epithermal veins were intersected with best assays of 12 metres at 7.7 g/t gold.

Rob Bills, managing director, said: “The alteration and mineralisation from the drilling is consistent with our exploration model of a buried alkalic porphyry system.

“These systems typically have great potential for not only copper, but also associated gold, though assays will be required before the grade is established.”

WATCH: Emmerson resources very encouraged by early drilling at Kadungle

This drill hole not only extends the known mineralisation, but points to the potential for both shallow epithermal gold-silver and deeper porphyry copper-gold mineralisation.

A new strategy to cash in on copper at Tennant Creek

Emmerson’s tenement package at the Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) covers 2800 square kilometres.

Emmerson has made four discoveries in this area, all of which are distinguished by their above-average gold and copper grades.

They are at various stages of exploration and development.

This, along with the fact that they incorporate both precious and base metals, make it difficult to assess them as a package, perhaps to the detriment of Emmerson’s valuation.

While Edna Beryl captures most of the headlines as it has now moved to production, the company has a high-grade copper-gold project in Goanna.

Goanna on the move

Though Emmerson will be actively developing Edna Beryl in 2018 there are firm plans to identify possible extensions to the Goanna deposit.

Some of the better drill results harking back to its first discovery in 2012 included 15 metres at 8.13 g/t gold, including 3 metres at 11.1% copper and 34 g/t gold.

A 2500 metre drill program at the Gecko-Goanna-Monitor discovery was completed in December, and assay results are due in January/February.

High-grade mineralisation was identified in 2012, and similar mineralisation delineated in 2015, suggesting the assay results are likely to be highly anticipated.

Underground exploration drive planned for Edna Beryl

Emmerson is in the process of monetising a pipeline of small high-grade exploration targets.

This is being done via a Tribute Agreement with a company which specialises in the operations of small mines, the Edna Beryl Mining Company (EBCM).

Under the terms of a farm-in agreement entered into with Evolution Mining Ltd (ASX:EVN) in 2014, the group continued to sole fund exploration expenditure of $15 million.

This extended through to December 31, 2017, providing it with a 65% interest in TCMF.

An option to spend a further $10 million minimum, solely funded by Evolution over two years following the Stage 1 farm-in, would enable Evolution to earn a further 10%.

Terms of the Tribute agreement

The Edna Beryl 'small mines' Tribute Agreement relates to a tightly defined 3D rock volume around the immediate historic drill holes and mine area at Edna Beryl East.

The agreement also includes discoveries outside of this envelope which remain under Emmerson’s ownership.

It is up to the discretion of Emmerson and Evolution as to whether it becomes part of the 'small mines' agreement.

Tribute provides near-term revenues

This agreement provides a risk-free, near-term income stream from its non-core assets via a royalty agreement.

It will also facilitate the establishment of underground drill platforms, and planning is underway for this more effective and cheaper drilling strategy.

Management believes that this form of drilling has the potential to more effectively test for extensions and grow the existing resources.

Catalysts in 2018

Developments that could have a share price impact in the next three months include the commencement of full-scale mining within the Edna Beryl Tribute area.

The result of assay results from Gecko-Goanna-Monitor will provide important data and potentially shape the company’s exploration strategy in 2018.

Planning, permitting and approval processes across the group’s portfolio of mines will continue, the results of which can help to de-risk projects.

One of the key factors is likely to be the finalisation of planning and commercial terms for the underground exploration drive and drill program at Edna Beryl.

Given this will impact the company from both an operational and financial perspective, completion of these procedures is important.

Three gold bars have been poured from the first 1200 tonnes of development ore which came from the 90 metre level development drive.

This ore averages more than 35 g/t gold and assay results from underground sampling for the drive correlate well with these grades.

Edna Beryl will be high grade mine

Providing the grades are representative of the overall head grade, Edna Beryl will become one of the highest grade gold mines in Australia.

Full-scale mining is expected to start early in 2018.

Edna Beryl is the first in Emmerson’s small mine portfolio in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field to be developed under an agreement with the Edna Beryl Mining Company (EBMC).

EBMC is a specialist operator in small mines and has already developed much of the Tribute Area covered by the agreement.

Providing a revenue stream

Rob Bills, managing director, said: “The commencement of production at Edna Beryl is a pivotal step since Emmerson began exploration in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field in 2008.

“It not only provides a revenue stream but establishes a template for unlocking value in many of our other projects contained within our extensive, 2,800 square kilometre tenement package.

“We believe this tribute style of agreement maximises value and mitigates risk whilst providing great insights for our near mine and regional exploration programs.

“As we know, small mines can often grow into big mines.”

Tribute agreement advantages

The Tribute agreement provides Emmerson with a number of advantages including a risk-free income stream from non-core assets via a royalty arrangement.

This is proportional to the final amount of extracted gold and Emmerson’s equity in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field Joint Venture, which is currently 100%.

It provides future access to underground workings enabling near mine exploration.

The agreement also provides the opportunity to monetise other non-core assets within the extensive tenement holdings.

Interim processing of ore is being carried out by EBMC at the Tennant Creek Battery.

Once full-scale mining within the area begins ore will be processed through a portable mill.

Recent drilling outside of the Tribute area suggests significant extensions to the high-grade gold that will be further investigated by underground drilling in 2018.

Warrego Mill commissioned

In addition, Emmerson has commissioned the recovery of residual gold from its 100%-owned Warrego Mill, 35 kilometres from Tennant Creek.

To date this has yielded 230 ounces of gold with a further circa 11 kilograms of gold dore yet to be delivered to the Perth Mint.

Emmerson is entitled to 25% of all the gold from this process.

READ: Emmerson Resources set to increase exploration news flow from Kadungle and Tennant Creek

Tennant Creek Mineral Field is one of Australia’s highest grade gold and copper fields producing more than 5.5 million ounces of gold and in excess of 470,000 tonnes of copper from a variety of deposits.

These deposits, including Gecko, Orlando, Warrego, White Devil, Chariot and Golden Forty, are all within Emmerson’s exploration and joint venture portfolio.

Exploration is funded via a farm-in agreement with Evolution Mining Ltd (ASX:EVN).

Evolution is sole funding exploration expenditure of $15 million by 31 December 2017 to earn a 65% interest.

It can then sole fund a further $10 million over two years to earn an additional 10%. Emmerson is the operator and manager during the first stage of the farm-in.

WATCH: Emmerson Resources very encouraged by early drilling at Kadungle

The company has also recently started exploring gold-copper projects in New South Wales, including the Kadungle project.

Visible copper sulphides have been identified during a diamond drilling program, which is expected to be completed this week.

Kadungle is to the east of the company’s large Fifield exploration lease and to the west of Rimfire Pacific Mining NL’s (ASX:RIM) Sopresa discovery.

The second diamond hole is currently in the process of being drilled, which is part of the eight hole, 2,000-metre program.

Drilling is targeting shallow epithermal gold and deeper copper-gold porphyry mineralisation.

Confirms existence of large mineralised copper-gold system

Rob Bills, managing director, said: “These early results at Mt Leadley, although preliminary, are very encouraging in confirming the existence of a large mineralised copper-gold system within our Kadungle tenements.

“The alteration and mineralisation from the drilling is consistent with our exploration model of a buried (oxidised, silica undersaturated) alkalic porphyry system which typically has great potential for not only copper but also associated gold – note assays will be required before the grade is established.”

Early results bode well for remainder of program

These positive results at Kadungle have implications for the rest of Emmerson’s New South Wales projects, given they were targeted utilising the same parameters and methodology.

Drilling to be finished by Christmas

Drilling is anticipated to be finished prior to Christmas and assay results will be available in late January to early February 2018.

A second drill rig will commence on a five hole program, two kilometres north at the Trig prospect where gold in epithermal veins has recently been identified.

Drilling will commence shortly.

Moving to Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory, Emmerson is funded by partner Evolution Mining Ltd (ASX:EVN) as part of a $15 million earn-in and joint venture where Emmerson is the manager and operator.

Drilling is underway at Tennant Creek, providing strong news flow for the company in the near-term.

Kadungle

A new induced polarisation geophysical survey at Kadungle confirms the potential for large shallow gold and deeper copper-gold mineralisation.

The geophysical IP anomalies on consecutive lines across 1 kilometre correspond with a large zone of hydrothermal alteration and diatreme/breccia plus gold and copper in drill holes.

Rob Bills, managing director, commented:

"The recent systematic exploration over the Kadungle project has produced further indications of a large shallow epithermal gold and deeper porphyry copper-gold system.

"Pleasingly the scale of the alteration and mineralisation over ~2 kilometres has been confirmed by the recent geophysical surveys and significantly, the better geophysical targets remain untested.

"Drilling will commence in late November and is focussed on establishing the extent and grade of both shallow epithermal gold and deeper porphyry copper-gold."

Drilling will cover circa 2000 metres.

Next steps at Tennant Creek

A deep co-funded drill hole by Emmerson/Evolution and the NT Geological survey previously intersected 7 metres at 5.98% copper from a 123 metre.

A further zone of 3 metres at 4.75% copper from 162 metres remains open in all directions.

This will be tested by eight reverse circulation holes.

In addition, a down plunge diamond hole at Goanna will test for deeper extensions beneath the previously intersected, high-grade copper and gold.

Analysis

Kadungle is part of a much larger strategy by Emmerson and strategic alliance partner, Kenex Limited, to select highly prospective gold and copper-gold areas utilising a predictive, probability based targeting approach.

This is aimed at increasing the likelihood of discovering major new gold and copper-gold deposits.

These early encouraging results from Kadungle reflect well on not only the adjacent Fifield tenement, but also the other four large project areas at Wellington, Temora/Sebastopol, Kiola and Parkes.

Emmerson can earn up to 80% of the Kadungle project from Aurelia Metals Ltd (ASX:AMI) by spending $0.5 million over a five year period.

Kenex can earn up to a 10% interest in these New South Wales tenements (excluding Kadungle) upon achieving certain predetermined milestones.

Moving to Tennant Creek, drilling will be on the highly prospective Gecko-Goanna copper-gold project.

Goanna was discovered by Emmerson in 2011 but up until recently, was not a priority in the earn-in and joint venture with Evolution.

The high grade copper intersected in the more recent drill hole GODD032 plus the multiple high grade copper and gold intersections at Goanna suggest there is good potential to extend the high grade mineralisation outside of the current resource.

Significantly, gold production from the Edna Beryl Tribute area is expected this quarter.

Edna Beryl is the first in Emmerson’s small mine portfolio to be developed under an agreement with the Edna Beryl Mining Company (EBMC).

EBMC are a specialist operator in small mines and have already developed much of the Tribute Area ahead of mining in early 2018.

Circa 1200 tonnes of development ore averaging between 30-40 g/t gold has been stockpiled awaiting treatment.

New South Wales projects

During the past quarter, exploration results from Kadungle, the first of five new projects in New South Wales provided evidence of a large, shallow gold and deeper copper-gold mineralising system.

The next drill program is scheduled for December at Kadungle and will test some exciting, newly defined geophysical and geological targets.

The following activities are planned for the December quarter:

- Modelling and assessment of geophysical surveys at Kadungle to generate targets for December drilling;
- Geophysical modelling of the detailed high-resolution magnetic surveys is also well underway over Emmerson’s other NSW projects at ELs 8463 (Wellington), 8465 (Temora) and 8464 (Fifield);
- Preparations for ground-based geophysical surveys at ELs 8464 (Fifield) and 8465 (Temora); and
- Continuing landholder/stakeholder engagement over prioritised projects ahead of field work.

December quarter work program in Northern Territory

The following activities in the Northern Territory are planned for the December quarter:

- Re-commencement of drilling at the Gecko-Goanna-Monitor project, where Emmerson discovered high-grade copper and gold in 2011;
- Processing of the development ore from the Edna Beryl Tribute area; and
- Continuation of the planning, permitting and approval process for the additional small mines and the future TC8 processing site.

Exploration at the 2,800 square kilometre Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) joint venture remains fully funded under the $15 million earn-in joint venture with Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN).

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources bags $2M to advance New South Wales projects ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/185377/emmerson-resources-bags-2m-to-advance-new-south-wales-projects-185377.html Emmerson Resources Limited (ASX:ERM) has secured commitments to raise circa $2 million via a placement of shares to institutional and sophisticated investors, at $0.088 per share.

The raising has seen a number of North American and European institutions join the company’s register.

Rob Bills, managing director and chief executive officer, commented: “We are very pleased with the high level of interest, allowing the raising to be done at a premium to market.

The raising follows on from the high investor enthusiasm in Emmerson’s NSW projects, as early results from Kadungle vindicate our targeting methodology and point to the calibre of these projects. “

“This new funding places Emmerson in a strong position to advance our NSW projects to the next phase.”

Use of funds

The new funds will fast track systematic exploration across Emmerson’s five projects at Fifield, Parks, Temora/Sebastopol, Wellington and Kiola.

Specifically, the company will drill some new targets at its Kadungle project where a recent induced polarisation geophysical survey has revealed new untested targets.

The Kadungle project sits to the east of the company’s large Fifield exploration lease and to the west of Rimfire Pacific Mining’s (ASX:RIM) Sopresa discovery (7.9 million ounces silver and 125,000 ounces gold).

The company’s near term focus is on epithermal gold-silver within the large porphyry copper-gold systems across its New South Wales projects.

Strategy

The company is presently monetising a pipeline of small ultra high-grade gold projects at Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.

Emmerson’s strategy for its New South Wales projects is to follow a similar model to what has led to success at its Northern Territory gold operations.

The company remains well funded with a potential for additional risk free cash from small mines.

It is envisaged that Emmerson will seek suitable joint venture partners on some New South Wales projects.

Rob Bills, managing director for Emmerson, talks exclusively with Proactive Investors about the interaction with investors at the summit, and the next steps for the company's portfolio.

Welcome Rob.

Proactive Investors: What were the take home messages from investors?

Rob Bills: The interest in smaller precious metals companies at the conference was intense, as investors are now looking at the next generation of producers, given most of the larger companies are fully valued.

Also the macro settings for gold have never been better, largely driven by global uncertainty and high levels of government debt.

Proactive Investors: How did this interest translate for Emmerson, and how did the company distinguish itself from the other junior explorers?

Rob Bills: We had unprecedented interest in the company – on one of the days we set a record of 12 back to back meetings with well credentialed American, London and German funds.

We do have a unique story as we are one of the few companies that are developing an ultra high-grade gold mine at Edna Beryl, and have aggressive but fully-funded exploration underway at our Tennant Creek project in the Northern Territory.

We are also exploring five new gold and copper-gold projects within the highly metal endowed, Macquarie Arc of New South Wales.

The company’s tenement package at Tennant Creek Mineral Field covers 2800 square kilometres.

Proactive Investors: How does Emmerson use technology to pinpoint where to drill and does it work?

Rob Bills: Firstly we have made four discoveries within our Tennant Creek project so have a solid track record.

These discoveries are at various stages but all are distinguished by their above average gold and copper grades and thus I remain confident that with further drilling they have good potential to become mines.

The use of technology by Emmerson is all about increasing the probability of both predicting where the next deposit will be within a large package of tenements, and then detecting it or being able to find it.

As typically all the easy deposits that crop out at the surface have been discovered, leaving the next generation hidden, so this is why technology becomes increasingly important.

On the predictive front we have formed a strategic alliance with a small New Zealand-based company called Kenex Limited that specialise in putting together multiple levels of computer generated data such as geology, geochemistry and geophysics.

These independent data layers are interrogated in an unbiased manner to ascertain their correlation with mineralisation.

If highly correlated, the predictive probability increases.

This reduces the area to a manageable size, and allows deployment of various detection tools/techniques to pinpoint the mineralisation.

The overall aim is to be at the forefront of discovery and use new and innovative ways to objectively target new underexplored areas for gold and copper.

Proactive Investors: With gold production impending from the Edna Beryl mine, can you provide an update on progress?

Rob Bills: As most will know, Emmerson is monetising a pipeline of small ultra high-grade gold projects at Tennant Creek.

We are using a unique Tribute style agreement with a specialist small mining company.

This agreement mitigates the risks for Emmerson as the onus is on the miner to develop and process the ore, with Emmerson receiving a portion of the gold dore, depending on the amount produced.

The first of these Tribute areas is at Edna Beryl, where we have excised a 3D envelope around one of the high-grade ore shoots.

To date most of the development is complete and interim processing via the State Battery at Tennant Creek is about to commence.

As the gold mostly occurs as free gold, it is believed that this simple process will liberate 70-80% of the gold.

Longer term, plans are underway for either a modular Central Toll Treatment Plant – which is the subject of a feasibility study by the Northern Territory Government, or alternatively our Tribute miner is looking at the installation of a dedicated, mobile plant.

This is a very unique and innovative addition to the main focus of exploration.

Proactive Investors: Can you elaborate on the advantages of the small mines strategy from a shareholders view?

Rob Bills: The small mines provide a revenue stream but perhaps most importantly it de-risks exploration/discovery – for example at Edna Beryl we have been grappling with the distribution of the gold based on drilling, yet the first 1200 tonnes of development ore, which is sitting on the surface ready for processing, has a bulk grade of 35-40g/t gold.

Statistically this is a much better representation of the likely head grade and would make Edna Beryl one of the highest grade gold mines in Australia.

We also know that small mines often turn into large mines and so are now in the throes of planning an underground exploration drive from the bottom of the Edna Beryl shaft.

This drive is outside of the designated tribute area and will provide more effective and cheaper underground drilling and sampling, plus enable our geologists to get a better handle on what controls the mineralisation.

Proactive Investors: Outside of the small mines initiative at Tennant Creek, what is happening on the Joint Venture with Evolution Mining?

Rob Bills: It is business as usual as we prepare for the next round of drilling.

In contrast to previous drill campaigns that have been focused solely on gold, this drilling will be looking for extensions to the Goanna, high-grade copper and gold project that Emmerson discovered back in 2012.

It marks the realisation of the potential for a big high-grade system but requires more drilling to ascertain the size of the resource.

Some of the better drill results from this discovery include: 15 metres at 8.13g/t gold, including 3 metres at 34g/t gold and 11.1% copper.

So we are looking forward to getting this program underway within the next month.

Proactive Investors: Lastly what can you tell us about your new gold and copper foray into New South Wales?

Rob Bills: These five new projects are early stage but have been targeted using the predictive approach outlined above.

Interestingly they also drew the most attention at Beavor Creek, as the early drill results from the Kadungle project are highly encouraging, intersecting shallow, high level epithermal gold and deeper copper-gold.

We are now in the detection mode and have just completed a large, deep penetrating Induced Polarisation survey – which for the non-technical is a geophysical technique that can assist in pinpointing sulphides and alteration at depth.

Preliminary results are very encouraging and consistent with the presence of a large, underlying porphyry copper-gold and associated shallow epithermal gold system.

Once all the data is interpreted, further drilling will be scheduled for later this year.

For the other projects, we have finished flying detailed aeromagnetics over most and are now out on the ground reviewing the results.

These projects are not part of the joint venture with Evolution Mining, but given the interest from many larger companies, may become the subject of a joint venture down the track.

The deep diamond drilling at the Edna Beryl gold mine has confirmed that the mineralisation continues at depth and remains open.

Emmerson is now planning for developing an underground exploration/drill drive from the Edna Beryl East mine workings.

The company had recently received final approvals from the Northern Territory government for production to commence at the Edna Beryl gold mine.

Edna Beryl is the first new mine in the Northern Territory for over a decade and has the potential to be one of the highest grade gold mines in Australia.

The next 2,500 metres drill campaign at Tennant Creek, funded by JV partner Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN), will focus on the high grade Gecko-Goanna-Monitor copper-gold project.

Through expenditure of $15 million over three years, Evolution will earn a 65% interest (stage 1 farm-in) in Emmerson’s tenement holdings in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) joint venture.

The TCMF is one of Australia’s highest grade gold and copper fields producing over 5.5 million gold ounces and 470,000 tonnes of copper from a variety of deposits including Gecko, Orlando, Warrego, White Devil, Chariot and Golden Forty.

All of these deposits are within Emmerson's exploration and joint venture portfolio.

Assay results from the KDD015 diamond hole reveal multiple zones of mineralisation indicating epithermal gold mineralisation followed by copper porphyry mineralisation at depth.

This drill hole not only extends the known mineralisation but points to the potential for both shallow epithermal gold-silver and deeper porphyry copper-gold mineralisation over a large area.

Rob Bills, managing director, commented: “Given we have established the presence of a large mineralised system, exploration will now focus on a systematic program to pinpoint the higher grade zones for both gold and copper.

“This will include induced polarisation surveys to penetrate beneath the lithocap and better define the quartz-pyrite alteration and allow targeting for both deeper copper-gold and shallow, low sulphidation gold-silver mineralisation.”

KDD015 assay results

New aeromagnetic survey data has defined a circular zone of magnetite destructive alteration exceeding ~1 kilometre in diameter.

Drill hole KDD015 within this zone intersected multiple zones of alteration and mineralisation.

Shallow, intermittent epithermal quartz veining assayed:

- 12 metres at 0.51 g/t gold from 8 metres; and
- 25.6 metres at 0.38 g/t gold from 23.4 metres including 1 metre at 2.78 g/t gold.

Assays from deeper down the hole included:

- 30 metres at 0.19 g/t gold and 0.24% copper from 117 metres; and
- 21 metres at 0.19 g/t gold and 0.13% copper from 152 metres.

Results support historical drilling

This drill hole supports the previous historical drilling where shallow epithermal veins were intersected with best assays of 12 metres at 7.7 g/t gold in drill hole KDD002.

Similarly, deeper disseminated and veined copper-gold produced intersections of 37 metres at 0.23% copper including 6 metres at 1.1% copper in KDD013 and 154 metres at 0.12% copper and 0.37g/t gold in KRC019.

System may be bigger than expected

The discovery of further mineralised, epithermal quartz veins, some 2 kilometres east at the Mount Leadley Trig prospect provides some indication that this is a large mineralised system.

Recent rock chip sampling at Trig returned highly anomalous gold geochemistry with up to 1.27 g/t gold.

Emmerson can earn up to 80% in Kadungle

Emmerson owns a 12-month option over the Kadungle project, which requires a minimum spend during this period of $100,000.

Emmerson can earn up to 80% of the Kadungle project under an option and joint venture with Aurelia Metals (ASX:AMI) through spending $0.5 million over a five year period.

Kadungle sits to the east of Emmerson’s large Fifield exploration lease, while to the west is the Rimfire Pacific Mining NL (ASX:RIM) Sopressa gold-silver discovery.

Analysis

Emmerson’s strategy for its New South Wales projects is to follow a similar model to what has led to success at its recently producing Northern Territory gold operations.

The company will focus on focus on near term high-value from epithermal gold-silver within large porphyry copper-gold systems.

The recent aeromagnetic survey and drilling are highly encouraging in terms of defining large scale alteration and mineralisation at Kadungle.

The Kadungle project sits to the east of the company’s large Fifield exploration lease and to the west of Rimfire Pacific Mining’s (ASX:RIM) Sopresa discovery (7.9 million ounces silver and 125,000 ounces gold).

Emmerson believes that these tenements are highly prospective for both gold and copper, as are its four other New South Wales projects at Wellington, Parkes,Temora/Sebastopol and Kiola.

It is envisaged that Emmerson will seek suitable joint venture partners on some New South Wales project.

Emmerson shares are up over 45% this past month, currently priced at $0.125.

The hole intersected 15.6 metres of ironstone containing visible pyrite, chalcopyrite and possibly bismuthinite – which can suggest sources of copper and gold are nearby.

This intersection is 108 metres vertically below the closest drill hole in ironstone 4 at Edna Beryl and represents a substantial down dip extension.

The drilling program continues and is planned to test similar down dip extensions in ironstones 3 and 1.

Emmerson’s first mine opening at Edna Beryl is scheduled for 13 July 2017.

Emmerson is now a gold producer

Emmerson recently received final approvals from the Northern Territory (NT) government for production to commence at the Edna Beryl Gold Mine.

The mine is within the Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) joint venture and is now the first producing asset in a strategy which aims to monetise a pipeline of small high-grade gold projects.

The first 600 tonnes of development ore averaged circa 40 g/t gold.

Edna Beryl is the first new mine in the NT for over a decade and has the potential to be one of the highest grade gold mines in Australia.

Background

Emmerson’s flagship project is its TCMF joint venture where all exploration is fully funded by the farm-in and joint venture with Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN).

Through expenditure of $15 million over three years, Evolution will earn a 65% interest (Stage 1 Farm-in) in Emmerson’s tenement holdings in the TCMF.

The TCMF is one of Australia’s highest grade gold and copper fields producing over 5.5 million gold ounces and 470,000 tonnes of copper from a variety of deposits including Gecko, Orlando, Warrego, White Devil, Chariot and Golden Forty.

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources commences production at gold mine ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/179712/emmerson-resources-commences-production-at-gold-mine-179712.html Emmerson Resources Limited (ASX:ERM) has received final approvals from the Northern Territory (NT) government for production to commence at the Edna Beryl Gold Mine in the NT.

The mine is within the Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) joint venture and is now the first producing asset in a strategy which aims to monetise a pipeline of small high-grade gold projects.

The first 600 tonnes of development ore averages circa 40 g/t gold.

Edna Beryl is the first new mine in the NT for over a decade and has the potential to be one of the highest grade gold mines in Australia.

Rob Bills, managing director, commented

“The commencement of production at Edna Beryl is a pivotal step since Emmerson began exploration in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field in 2008.

"It not only provides a revenue stream but establishes a template for unlocking value in many of our other projects contained within our extensive, 3,000 square kilometre tenement package.

“We believe this ‘tribute style of agreement’ maximises value and mitigates risk whilst providing great insights for our near mine and regional exploration programs.

“As we know, small mines can often grow into big mines!"

Mining under a tribute agreement

Mining at Edna Beryl East is being undertaken by an operator specialising in small mines (the Edna Beryl Mining Company) under a tribute agreement.

The agreement relates to a 3D envelope around the shallow mineralisation.

Drilling last year extended the mineralisation beyond this 3D envelope, opening up the possibility of either expanding the current mining area or, if the next round of drilling is successful, contemplating a larger scale of development.

The tribute agreement with the Edna Beryl Mining Company provides Emmerson with a number of advantages:

- A risk-free income stream from its non-core assets via a royalty agreement that is proportional to the final amount of extracted gold and Emmerson’s equity in the TCMF JV (which is currently 100%);
- Future access to refurbished underground workings for near mine exploration; and
- The opportunity to monetise other non-core assets within its extensive tenement holding, subject to formal agreements being executed.

All of these deposits are within Emmerson's exploration and joint venture portfolio.

Analysis

The approvals are valuable evidence supporting the government’s recently outlined initiatives to revitalise Tennant Creek and make it the ‘Mining and Services Centre’ of the Northern Territory.

The government is conducting a feasibility study into establishing a central milling facility at Tennant Creek, which is expected to stimulate additional mine development and exploration in the region.

This is significant as further high-grade gold projects within Emmerson’s extensive tenement holdings are currently undergoing permitting and approval.

While production has commenced, drilling also continues to expand the Edna Beryl mineralisation.

Emmerson has shown that it can deliver on its exploration and development processes and with a pipeline of mines already in the permitting process, the company is well positioned moving forward.

The first campaign of 6,700 metres of drilling is confined to the Edna Beryl project area – aimed at near mine and new regional greenfields targets.

Ultra-high-resolution ground gravity surveys have revealed likely extensions to the ironstones that host the high-grade bonanza gold mineralisation at Edna Beryl.

Drilling will target untested Edna Beryl look alike targets immediately to the north as well as explore the potential to discover a new generation of hematite hosted gold deposits.

If drilling is successful in verifying additional hematite ironstones known to host high-grade gold, further high resolution gravity surveys will be deployed over a range of similar targets.

Elsewhere, exploration is well underway in New South Wales with detailed high-resolution magnetic surveys completed at multiple tenements and assays pending from the first drill hole.

Preliminary results showed the hole intersected visible sulphides within an extensive zone of alteration at the Kadungle project located in New South Wales.

Drill hole, KDD015, supports the previous historical drilling where high-level epithermal veins were intersected with best assays of 12 metres at 7.73 g/t gold and 3 metres at 7.14 g/t gold.

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources hits visible sulphides in first hole at Kadungle ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/178526/emmerson-resources-hits-visible-sulphides-in-first-hole-at-kadungle-178526.html Emmerson Resources (ASX:ERM) has intersected visible sulphides within an extensive zone of alteration in its first drill hole at the Kadungle project located in New South Wales.

Drill hole, KDD015, supports the previous historical drilling where high-level epithermal veins were intersected with best assays of 12 metres at 7.73 g/t gold and 3 metres at 7.14 g/t gold.

This recent drill hole not only extends the known mineralisation but points to the potential for both shallow epithermal gold-silver and deeper porphyry copper-gold mineralisation.

Assay results will be available in circa three weeks, with work already underway to better understand the geology.

Rob Bills, managing director, commented: “This drilling is a very positive start to our New South Wales field season where Emmerson currently has five new projects generated from proprietary predictive 2 and 3D targeting models – developed in conjunction with our strategic alliance partner Kenex Limited.”

KDD015 preliminary details

Drill hole KDD015 has intersected multiple zones of alteration and mineralisation as follows:

- Shallow, intermittent epithermal quartz veining from the surface to 33 metres downhole within vuggy silica-pyrite alteration;
- 97 metres of breccia with up to 5% sulphides including visible chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena from 14.9 metres downhole;
- Intermittent quartz-chalcopyrite-pyrite and hematite veins and breccia with disseminated chalcopyrite from 112 metres to 150 metres downhole; and
- Chlorite-quartz-epidote alteration increasing in intensity to 190 metres with occasional quartz-chalcopyrite-hematite veins.

Significantly, the new surface outcrops of epithermal quartz-hematite veins confirms potential for shallow gold-silver mineralisation.

Kadungle option terms

Emmerson owns a 12 month option over the Kadungle project, which requires a minimum spend during this period of $100,000.

Emmerson can earn up to 80% of the Kadungle project under an option and joint venture with Aurelia Metals through spending $0.5 million over a five year period.

Kadungle sits to the east of Emmerson’s large Fifield exploration lease, while to the west is the Rimfire Pacific Mining NL (ASX:RIM) Sopressa gold-silver discovery.

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources intersects visible gold at Edna Beryl mine ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/177895/emmerson-resources-intersects-visible-gold-at-edna-beryl-mine-177895.html Emmerson Resources (ASX:ERM) has intersected visible, high-grade gold on two levels during development work at the Edna Beryl Mine located in the Northern Territory.

The mine is within the Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) joint venture and will be the first producing asset in a strategy which aims to monetise a pipeline of small high-grade gold projects.

The development and production of the Edna Beryl small mine is via a tribute agreement with the specialist small miner, the Edna Berryl Mining Company.

Significantly, recently the Northern Territory government outlined initiatives to revitalise Tennant Creek and make it the ‘Mining and Services Centre’ of the Northern Territory.

Rob Bills, managing director, commented: “This tribute agreement and progress on the development at Edna Beryl is a terrific template for our other small mines.

“It is a major step toward the resumption of mining activities within the Tennant Creek Mineral Field and will benefit all stakeholders.”

Drill results

Emmerson’s first small mine at the TCMF has intersected visible, high-grade gold on two levels in the development drives.

Pre-development drilling at Black Snake, Emmerson’s next planned small mine intersected:

- 7 metres at 4.79 g/t gold from 18 metres including 3 metres at 9.51 g/t gold; and
- 7 metres at 2.85 g/t gold from 19 metres including 2 metres at 7.48 g/t gold.

Black Snake is considered an advanced exploration target, which based on available data is considered to host around 7,000 to 10,000 ounces of gold.

This small program of pre-development reverse circulation drilling has confirmed the shallow, high-grade nature of the gold mineralisation.

Permitting of the Black Snake Mine ahead of development is well advanced.

Northern Territory government support

The government’s feasibility study into a central mining centre at Tennant Creek recognises the long-term benefits of encouraging mining companies to get on the ground and start mining.

The feasibility study will look into how to get a common user mineral processing facility underway.

The government initiative will greatly assist Emmerson’s small mine strategy in providing a clear pathway to production via treatment at the proposed central mill.

It will have the net benefit of lowering the cost of production and stimulating further exploration, not to mention very positive benefits for the local communities.

All of these deposits are within Emmerson's exploration and joint venture portfolio.

The mine management plan for the first small mine is awaiting approval from the Northern Territory department of mines before production can commence.

Analysis

Both the drilling results and government initiatives are welcome tail winds for Emmerson as it gets closer to maiden production from the first mine in its small mines strategy.

Furthermore, the tribute agreement is structured so that the Edna Beryl Mining Company is self-sufficient and does not distract from the key task of discovering a new generation of gold-copper deposits in the TCMF.

If successful the tribute mining will supplement Emmerson’s already healthy cash reserves and provide further opportunities to grow these small mines into large mines via underground exploration.

Shares in Emmerson are trading up 110% over the past 12 months, currently priced at $0.091.

<![CDATA[News - Emmerson Resources talks Government support of Tennant Creek in Proactive Q&A Sessions™ ]]> https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/177262/emmerson-resources-talks-government-support-of-tennant-creek-in-proactive-qa-sessions-177262.html Emmerson Resources (ASX:ERM) maintains a strategy of discovering a new generation of large, high grade gold deposits in Tennant Creek.

The company plans to monetise a number of small but very high grade gold resources through deployment of a specialised Tribute Miner.

As part of the new Northern Territory Labour Governments initiative of making Tennant Creek the mining centre of the state, the Government is undertaking a feasibility study into a central modular milling facility.

To tell us more we are joined by Rob Bills, managing director for Emmerson, in Proactive Q&A Sessions™.

PROACTIVE INVESTORS: Welcome Rob.

First of all can you take investors through Emmerson strategy and the impact of this announcement by the Northern Territory Government?

Rob Bills: Emmerson has a threefold strategy of:

1) The application of new technology/ideas to make new discoveries in Tennant Creek. To date we have discovered the Goanna Copper, Mauretania gold and most recently and most exciting, the bonanza high grade gold at Edna Beryl.

2) Small mines – this is aimed at monetising a pipeline of small high grade gold deposits within our Tennant Creek project – the first of these is the Edna Beryl Mine and is under development. This will likely be the highest grade mine in Australia.

3) Leveraging our discovery track record utilising new technology and ideas to new projects. We have recently picked up five new projects in the prolific Macquarie Arc in New South Wales – these are gold and copper-gold projects.

So this announcement will mostly impact our “small mines” strategy in providing a low cost path to production.

This is a huge plus for extracting maximum value from these Emmerson owned, high grade gold deposits.

We have identified around 15 such small mines within our tenements.

Do you consider that the changes will help bring more companies and investment to the region?

Rob Bills: Yes – this initiative will lower the cost and barriers to production.

It will not only stimulate development of further mines within the Tennant Creek district but also attract investment in exploration.

Additionally, there will be downstream benefits for the local community including the Traditional Owners (such as training, jobs, construction etc).

Focussing now on Emmerson, how could the proposed “common user mill” advance Emmerson’s plans?

Rob Bills: It is envisaged that this will be a modular mill that has the capability to toll and batch treat gold ores. There is also the potential for copper down the track.

For Emmerson (and shareholders) this is great news in that it will lower the cost of development and production from our small mines and provide a clear path to cash.

This distinguishes Emmerson from your typical junior explorer.

Other secondary benefits include an ability to drill from underground during the development phase of our small mines - thus reducing drill costs and increasing the probability of a small mine turning into a large mine.

Historically - this has been the path to the discovery of the famous 1 million ounce White Devil Mine within our tenements.

If the mill goes ahead, could Emmerson look to add to its portfolio of small mines through acquisition?

Rob Bills: This is a possibility as Emmerson is by far the largest explorer in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field – holding a commanding 2500 square kilometres of highly prospective ground.

In addition, we have just executed a deal with Adelaide Resources (now Andromeda Metals) to earn-into their Rover project, some 65 kilometres south of Tennant Creek.

The Rover Field is geologically very similar to Tennant Creek yet because of thick cover, has not been explored to nearly the same extent.

We expect that with further exploration in the Rover Field, it should yield a similar metal/deposit endowment to Tennant Creek.

Finally, what is the key news flow for investors to look out for from Emmerson in the near-term?

Rob Bills: This year is shaping up to be a cracker.

We will again be drilling for extensions to our high grade gold discovery at Edna Beryl.

In addition we have just completed an ultra-high resolution gravity survey over Edna Beryl which has revealed possible extensions to the known ironstones (that host the gold) and perhaps most excitingly, a new untested gravity anomaly some 5 kilometres to the north.

We will be undertaking further geophysical surveys both at our Tennant Creek and also Rover projects – these are fully funded by our JV with Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN).

In addition, next month we will be drilling on the first of our New South Wales projects.

PROACTIVE INVESTORS: Thank-you Rob.
