Covata Ltd (ASX:CVT) is a global technology company providing data-centric security solutions that help businesses and governments identify, protect, and control access to sensitive information. At Covata, we approach data security through the lens of the attacker – the starting point is the user device and data is the endpoint. By restricting access to sensitive content up to and including the IT Administrators, the Covata Data Security Platform makes information harder to steal or misuse rather than hardening the devices where information is stored. With offices in Australia, Europe, and the United States, organisations around the world trust Covata to secure their most sensitive data.

Discover, Classify, and Protect your most Sensitive data

Find critical data in local and remote file shares such as Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, AWS or Azure and create custom sensitive data rules to locate and classify intellectual property and other sensitive data specific to your business.

The Importance of Data Discovery and Classification

Ensuring security of data and compliance with privacy regulations, requires understanding of what sensitive and regulated data exists and where it resides. Further, the data discovery process must be performed regularly to guarantee accurate scope of data security and privacy compliance efforts. Our cp.Discover solution delivers results faster and easier than any other data discovery tools in the market. cp.Discover is purpose-built to search unstructured data repositories that are typically ignored by tools that only search databases.

Manual approaches to data classification are inaccurate and inefficient. Organizations need the ability to access accurate and scalable classification tools which will enable them to integrate disparate silos of information and improve the management, security and compliance of data.

What is cp.Protect?

cp.Protect is a suite of integrated data security and privacy compliance solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Windows File servers. cp.Protect provides transparent file and list encryption, centralised permissions management, and granular activity logging for sensitive and regulated data in Microsoft unstructured data repositories. cp.Protect is unique in its ability to control and restrict privileged users (e.g. Farm administrators, Site Collection Administrators, Database Administrations, etc.) access to data.

How does it work?

cp.Protect includes a centralised security server for policy administration & automated encryption key management and an agent that enforces these security policies for information sitting on File servers, SharePoint (On-prem and Online), and OneDrive. The solution is totally transparent to end users and does not require deployment of software to user devices. As users upload information to a location secured by cp.Protect, that information is immediately and transparently encrypted and remains encrypted in use, in flight, and at rest. This means Sharepoint data is encrypted before it is stored in the database which means any information stored in backups is also encrypted, preventing even database administrators from seeing sensitive information. Only users authorised by the centrally managed cp.Protect security policies may view unencrypted content.

Connect and Centralise all your Company data

Any relevant information can be found quickly and easily with our full text search capability. With smart tagging and auto classification, you can understand and exploit your data to its full potential. This means your data becomes an important resource for content services with information from SharePoint, File storage, Email and many other systems linked together in our cp.Content platform.

What is cp.OEM?

Many customers and partners have their own applications that manage files and documents in some form, but do not have high grade security measures available to protect that content from unauthorised access. Cipherpoint has OEM ready capability that packages core modules with REST APIs ready for developers to integrate into applications to provide discovery, classification, access control, encryption and auditing of content.

How does it work?

Cipherpoint has packages the core functions of many of its products into independent modules supported by REST APIs so that they can easily be integrated into third party products to provide strong access control, encryption and audit trails for content stored in applications.
