Company Statement:
ALTUS was founded to develop opportunities in the natural resource sector. The company has assembled a team of talented and experienced industry professionals, with the necessary skills and network to access and evaluate numerous opportunities and select those with the highest potential.
Altus Experience Map

ALTUS has a relatively small and highly supportive shareholder base and intends to remain private until such time that the merits of a public listing become overwhelming. However, the shares of our incubated subsidiaries will be listed from an early stage in order to provide them with market accountability and a platform from which their management teams can independently finance and grow the ventures. ALTUS will consider the most suitable market for each subsidiary, based on its geographical focus, risk profile and capital raisings requirements.
The Company's long term strategy provides its shareholders with direct and indirect exposure to an actively managed and optimised portfolio of selected resource situations from grassroots exploration through to mine development and provides the market with a number of well managed resource opportunities in which to invest.
ALTUS aims to become a leading resource investment house.

Altau Gold
Activity: Gold & copper exploration in Ethiopia
Altus Ownership: 100%
Overview: Altau Gold is focused on the discovery of world class gold & copper deposits in Ethiopia with exploration licences being advanced in the Tigray, Afar and Wombera regions of the country.
A systematic GIS and remote sensing study undertaken by the Company in 2010 identified priority areas for exploration. On the back of this work the Company applied for and was granted its first exploration licence covering 917km2 in the Wombera region of western Ethiopia. The licence focuses on the copper and gold potential of the Proterozoic-age volcanic and volcaniclastic terrains that form part of the Nubian Arabian Shield. A further 2,293km2 has been granted covering caldera-type epithermal targets in the Afar province of Eastern Ethiopia. Subsequent to a programme of ground reconnaissance an exploration licence covering a further 1,000km2 was granted in January 2011 in the Gubai district of the Tigray province of northern Ethiopia.
Latest Developments: Exploration is presently underway in the Tigray and Wombera licences. Systematic stream sediment sampling is being undertaken, in parallel with geological mapping and prospecting. A programme of rock chip sampling within a 20km x 5km north south trending structural zone and a 15km long shear zone will also be completed in the current field programme.
In March, Altau recruited four Ethiopian exploration geologists to the team.
