Feronia
The Company's focus is on its Arable Farming operations and Oil Palm operations. The Arable Farming division is modeled after Brazil's wildly successful large-scale, mechanized farming operations. The Oil Palm division consists of the historic Feronia PHC plantations which have been in operation since 1911 and Feronia Seeds, Africa's pre-eminent seed breeding and sales operation.Presentations & Company Media

Current Operations:
OIL PAL OPERATIONS
Feronia PHC operates in the Equateur and Orientale provinces of DRC and is comprised of three established plantations together with the associated infrastructure. The principal products of Feronia PHC are crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel oil (PKO). The CPO and PKO products are transported by barge to the capital city of Kinshasa where they are sold into the local markets with any surplus sold to international markets. The local DRC market currently consists of two refining factories located in Kinshasa which purchase 100% of PHC's production. The refined products which are produced by these factories are sold into the local market in a variety of forms.

Commencing operations in 1911, the plantations are well established and have been in constant production throughout this time-span. All the plantations are located either adjacent to the Congo River or in close proximity to it. Feronia PHC currently employs over 4,000 people making it one of the largest private sector employers in Central Africa.
Feronia is committed to the rehabilitation and reinstatement of the land that was previously in production at these plantations and will actively avoid the creation of farmland on "green field" land in order to minimize the environmental impact of its operations.

Feronia's Plantation Locations in DRC
As illustrated, Feronia PHC has three plantations: Lokutu, which is located in Orientale province, and Yaligimba and Boteka, both of which are located in Equateur province. Feronia PHC has concessions on 101,455 ha of land owned by the DRC. The plantings, buildings, roads, plant and machinery at these locations are owned by Feronia PHC.
