Kilo Goldmines Ltd (Kilo) is an exploration and resource development company with gold and iron ore prospects and resources in the northeastern portion of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and a non-participatory, subject to dilution interest (20%) in an iron ore prospect in Afghanistan, namely the “Hajigak Project“.
We are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange – Ventures (“TSX-V”) under the symbol ‘KGL’ and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol ’02K’.
Our corporate strategy is to advance solely or in partnership our gold and iron ore ore prospects and resources, in what is defined as the “Kilo-Moto” region, a semi-continuous Archaean Kabalian greenstone belt in the northeast DRC.
As a company, our mission is to unlock shareholder value by growing and developing our mineral resource base in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
Within this region, Kilo Goldmines Ltd holds exploitation and exploration licences covering some 3000 km2 of favourable Archaen Kabalian Greenstones, an area historically referred to as the Kilo-Moto region, a historic gold-producing region (11 Moz, Mineweb).
Incorporated within these licences, is the Somituri Project, comprising eight noncontiguous licences and the KWR Iron SPRL Joint Venture with Randgold Resources Ltd (2056 km2).
Kilo has retained the rights to explore for iron ore on the properties held by KWR Iron SPRL and has a minority interest in the Hajigak iron ore project in Afghanistan. Kilo is focusing on its flagship Imbo Licence prospects, one of eight exploitation licences that form part of the greater Somituri Project.
