Papillon Resources (ASX: PIR) is a West African focused gold explorer. At the Fekola gold project the company is moving towards delivering a maiden JORC Resource around mid-2012.
Fekola is strategically located on the highly prospective Senegalo/Malian Shear Zone, where in excess of 42 million gold ounces have been discovered.

Current Operations:
The Malian assets consist of 18 prospecting authorizations and research permits spanning circa 1460km² within the Kéniéba-Kedougou Inlier, of the Lower Proterozoic Birimian on the NE margin of the West African Shield. The Medinandi Project in western Mali contains a global mineral resource estimate of 4.6 Mt at 2.04 g/t gold for 302,000 oz gold (1.0 g/t gold cut-off) of which 80% (241,000 oz gold) is attributable to Papillon Resources Ltd. Papillon completed the acquisition of 80% equity interests in each of Mali Goldfields SARL (“Mali Goldfields”) and Songhoï Resources SARL (“Songhoi Resources”) (collectively referred to as “Malian Assets”) on 17th March 2010. Since this time, Papillon has increased its equity stake in Mali Goldfields to 90%.

Songhoï Resources represents the joint venture vehicle between Papillon (80% equity interest) and Mani SARL (20% equity interest) established in August 2006 for the exploration and development of four exploration permits covering circa 279km2 in the prospective Kéniéba and Kayes districts in West Mali.
Mali Goldfields represents the joint venture vehicle between Papillon (90% equity interest) and Mali Mining House SA (10% equity interest) established in February 2006 for the exploration and development of fourteen exploration permits covering circa 980km2 of the prospective Birimian Gold Belt in South and West Mali.
Papillon’s tenements in West Mali are in the Kéniéba Valley, host to AngloGold Ashanti Limited / IAMGOLD Corporation’s Sadiola and Yatela Mines, Randgold Resources Limited’s Loulo-Yalea operations and Avion Resources’ Tabakoto-Segala mines.
Papillon’s tenements in South Mali are proximal to the Morila gold mine (owned via a joint venture between AngloGold Ashanti and Randgold), the Syama Mine operated by Resolute Mining Limited and the advanced projects Komana (Goldfields Ltd), and Kalana.
Malian Assets position Papillon with a significant portfolio of tenements in a world class gold region that will add significant growth potential for shareholders.

Mr Ian Middlemas is a Chartered Accountant and has been in commerce for over twenty years holding senior executive positions and directorships in a number of public companies. He was a Senior Group Executive with Normandy Group for approximately ten years. Mr Middlemas has considerable corporate, financial and management expertise and is a Member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Alan Campbell B.Sc MBA
Managing Director
Mr. Campbell is a geologist with a post graduate degree in business administration and a wealth of experience in the mining industry. Mr. Campbell has held various leadership positions over a twenty year career with De Beers, one of the largest privately owned mining companies in the world. Initially working for De Beers Australia Exploration Limited Mr. Campbell was transferred to De Beers Corporate Head Office in Johannesburg and was appointed Exploration Manager of De Beers India where he led teams that successfully discovered numerous kimberlites in highly prospective areas of India.
He has previously held the position of Managing Director at Southstar Diamonds Limited and North Australian Diamonds Limited and is currently a director of unlisted company Kinloch Resources Pty Ltd.

Mr Pismiris has been a director, company secretary and chief financial officer of numerous private and public companies including publicly listed companies. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia he is an Associate of the Chartered Secretaries & Administrators. Mr Pismiris has over 20 years experience in the securities and finance industry.
Mr Pismiris is currently a director of the following ASX listed companies: Prairie Downs Metals Limited and Horseshoe Metals Limited.

Mr Peter Woodman is a Geologist with over 20 years’ experience in exploration, development and operations in the resources sector. He is a graduate of the Australian National University and is a corporate member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Mr Woodman has worked for a number of mining companies during his extensive career in the resources sector.

Mr Wilkins is an accountant who has been a director, company secretary or acted in a corporate advisory capacity to listed resource companies for over 20 years. Mr Wilkins previously served as the Finance Director and Company Secretary for a mid tier gold producer and also spent five years working for a leading merchant bank in the United Kingdom. Resource postings to Indonesia, South Africa and New Zealand in managerial roles has broadened his international experience. Mr Wilkins has extensive experience in capital raising specifically for the resources industry and is the principal of DWCorporate Pty Ltd which provides advisory, funding and administrative management services to the resource sector.
Mr Wilkins is a director of Minemakers Limited and Key Petroleum Ltd.
