Montero Mining and Exploration
Montero Mining and Exploration Limited is a mineral exploration and development company with a Rare Earth project in Tanzania, uranium assets in Tanzania and Quebec, Canada and phosphate assets in South Africa. The company is focused on the development of our flagship Wigu Hill Rare Earth Element Project in Tanzania. The Wigu Hill project is a high grade undeveloped Light Rare Earth Element deposit where the company’s current focus is on reporting an initial NI 43-101 compliant resource on the first two of ten drill target areas tested to date. With the rising prices of REE’s and China's control over export quotas, it is becoming imperative that the rest of the world develops new rare earth resources to meet the increasing demand from “green” technology. Montero’s growth strategy is to develop the Wigu Hill Rare Earth Element project and to bring this to account by eventual rare earth production and cash flow. Montero plans to operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, adding value to all stakeholders. Montero trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol MON.

Company Statement:
Montero Mining and Exploration Ltd. Is a mineral exploration and development company engaged in its flagship Rare Earth Elements (REE) Project Wigu Hill in Tanzania and has phosphate assets in South Africa and uranium assets in Tanzania and Quebec, Canada.
We remain focussed on the development of our flagship Wigu Hill Rare Earth Element Project in Tanzania, which is a high-grade, undeveloped Light Rare Earth Element deposit. The Company’s current focus is on updating our initial NI 43-101 compliant resource and advancing the hydro-metallurgical testwork with Mintek. Montero has a fast-track strategy to advance a portion of the Wigu Hill deposit to the mining and production stage in the short-term. Montero recently produced samples of saleable Rare Earth products, proving an effective process route, and signed a MoU with Star Earth Minerals. (see news page)
Rare Earth Elements (REEs) - a group of 15 metals are critical in the advancement and development of emerging "green" technologies and high-tech applications. With the rising prices of REE’s and China's dominance over supply and control over export quotas, it is becoming imperative that the rest of the world develops new rare earth resources to meet the increasing demand from “green” technology.
Montero’s growth strategy is to develop the Wigu Hill Rare Earth Element project and to bring this to account by eventual rare earth production and cash flow. Montero plans to operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, adding value to all stakeholders. Montero has 52M shares outstanding and trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol MON.
Current Operations:
Montero Mining & Exploration is focused primarily on the exploration, discovery and development of grass-roots Rare Earth Elements (“REE”), phosphate and uranium deposits in geographically prospective under-explored regions in Tanzania, South Africa and Canada. The Company is actively engaged in the identification, acquisition, evaluation and exploration of mineral properties, and holds exploration licences on properties in Canada and in Tanzania.
Montero's primary asset is its 60% interest in the Wigu Hill Property in Tanzania. Sampling from the Wigu Hill Property has revealed high REE grades from the Property, and Montero's growth strategy is to explore and develop the Wigu Hill Property. Montero also holds interests in two other licences in Tanzania, two properties in Quebec, and a phosphate exploration property in South Africa.
Montero aims to build a portfolio of REE projects through application, acquisition and exploration and to potentially bring such projects to eventual production and intends to operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner adding value to all stakeholders.
