Advanced Business Solutions (currently trading as COA Solutions) designs, develops, implements and supports highly scalable software solutions that are widely used in a range of public, private and third sector service-based organisations.

These solutions, which comprise an integrated suite of applications including financial accounting, procurement, human resources, payroll, document management and business intelligence, extend the value and effectiveness of the finance, human resource and payroll departments across the organisation, enabling managers to monitor, analyse and continually improve corporate performance. Organisations also benefit from more efficient, transparent and controlled operations. Advanced Health & Care  is a leading supplier of:

    * IT management systems for urgent and unplanned care, homecare, residential care and hospices;
    * Mobile information systems for community carers; and
    * Back office systems for NHS trusts, local authorities and care providers.

Working with partners in the NHS, local government and the private sector, Advanced Health & Care is delivering IT in support of safe and efficient care delivery and greater information for both the commissioner and care provider. Advanced Health & Care’s unique proposition is the breadth of integrated health and care solutions from patient-facing IT systems through to back-end operational systems and services.

BSG designs, deploys, operates and improves IT services from the desktop to the data centre that help customers to align their IT to their core business requirements. We aim to help IT departments free themselves from day to day operational activity to allow them to deliver strategic value back to their business by creating an agile and scalable infrastructure that is closely aligned to their organisations' core business operations.

We achieve this by:

    * Managed services focusing on the core utility components of our customers IT operations (e.g. monitoring, backup, email and hosting).
    * Application development to deliver a fully-supported application managed service for both existing legacy applications or new applications developed by BSG.
    * Delivered either as a hosted service managed via the BSG data centre suite, remotely from your comms room, as part of a cloud-based service via one of the many public cloud platforms available, or as a hybrid solution utilising a combination of these delivery environments based upon your requirements. Vin Murria, Chief Executive Officer

Vin joined Advanced in August 2008 as Chief Executive Officer and  has over 20 years' experience of working for private equity backed and publicly listed companies focusing on the software sector.  She was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Computer Software Group plc, which was taken private in April 2007 and subsequently merged with IRIS Software Group Limited in July 2007 before being sold to  Hellman Friedman in a deal worth £500 million. Vin is a Partner at Elderstreet Capital and a Non-Executive Director of Greenco plc.

Barbara Firth, Chief Financial Officer

Barbara has many years of experience in senior managerial and financial roles and was previously Chief Financial Officer of Computer Software Group plc where she worked closely with Vin Murria and Michael Jackson until the merger with IRIS Software Group Limited in July 2007. Following the merger Barbara became Acquisitions and Integration Director of the combined group until joining Advanced in August 2009.

Michael Jackson, Chairman

Michael became Chairman of Advanced in August 2008 and is Chairman of the Audit Committee.  He founded Elderstreet Investments Limited in 1990 and is its Executive Chairman. For the past 25 years, he has specialised in raising finance for, and investing in, the smaller companies sector. Michael was previously Chairman of The Sage Group plc, Computer Software Group plc and Party Gaming plc. He is also a Director and investor of many other quoted and unquoted companies.

Mark Watts, Non-Executive Director

Mark became a Non-Executive Director of Advanced in August 2008 and is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. He is joint Managing Partner in Marwyn Capital LLP and Marwyn Investment Management LLP and a Director of many portfolio companies including Marwyn Capital II Ltd, Praesepe plc and Silverdell plc, and non-executive director of Entertainment One Ltd. At Marwyn, Mark and fellow Managing Partner James Corsellis have undertaken over 77 transactions, raising approximately £1.5 billion in acquisition funding for Marwyn-backed management teams and special purpose acquisition vehicles from 2002 to date.
