Discovery Metals combines an attractive portfolio of mineral assets in Africa and joint ventures in Australia. Its management team has a strong track record of success in finding and developing mineral resources. Currently Discovery Metals is concentrating on the assessment of the Boseto Copper Project in NW Botswana and the Dikoloti Nickel Project in NE Botswana. The Company moved into pre-feasibility mode for the Boseto Copper Project in August 2007 with the aim of completing the pre-feasibility study by June 2008.
The goal of Discovery Metals is to be southern Africa's most aggressive nickel and copper project developer.

Vision, mission, strategy
The goal of Discovery Metals is to create shareholder wealth through the discovery and development, of economic deposits of nickel and copper sulphide resources.
DML’s mission has been to acquire high quality nickel, copper and other base metals exploration and development projects within world-class mineral provinces, and to raise the necessary funds to successfully explore and develop those projects. The Directors believe that cost effective, innovative exploration over these projects will give DML the best possible opportunity to discover and develop commercial base metal proejcts.
The Company has a three level development strategy, aimed at enhancing the Company’s portfolio of projects:
- Maintain a portfolio of projects with the potential to discover truly world-class base metal deposits
- Drill test focussed targets within established world class provinces, with the ability to produce “quick hits” of mineralisation
- Enhance the Company’s project portfolio by acquiring advanced or brownfields base metal projects
Current Operations:
Discovery Metals is currently concentrating its activities on two projects, to consolidate its position as one of the leading base metal exploration companies active in Botswana – the Boseto Copper Project in NW Botswana and the Dikoloti Nickel Project in NE Botswana.
Discovery Metals is looking to grow its exploration and project development activities within southern Africa by utilising its Botswana staff and operational capability to lever into new base metal projects within the region. Botswana is an ideal base from which to run a network of projects within southern Africa.
