Since listing on the ASX in June 2006, Blue Energy has worked hard to establish a solid operational foundation with an experienced board and technical team. We believe our teams experience and skills have the ability to enable Blue Energy as one of the leaders in our industry. Given the experience and knowledge base our team posses, it holds Blue Energy in high regard to effectively execute its exploration strategy.

Blue Energy’s exploration focus is to leverage from the attractive geology and location of its majority-owned and operated CSG assets.

Some highlights of the past financial year demonstrate the heightened level of activity in the Company;

* The successful drilling of 8 exploration wells across 5 of its 100% owned coal seam gas tenements.
* The successful drilling and completion of a pilot test well currently under production test in ATP854P.
* The successful acquisition of over 300km’s of 2D seismic over 5 permits.
* An Alliance Agreement for development with Stanwell Corporation.
* The completion of Gas In Place estimates across our entire acreage portfolio.

Blue Energy’s focused commercial objectives are:

* To have Certified Reserves with 18 months, and
* Revenue within three years.

Blue Energy’s strong financial and asset position allows the company to negotiate from a position of strength and maximise commercial and shareholder outcomes. Through Corporate Governance, Blue Energy’s Board of Directors will concentrate on demonstrating our ability to produce gas.

CONVENTIONAL OIL & GAS

AUSTRALIAN CONVENTIONAL PORTFOLIO

Blue Energy is awaiting final award of its four conventional permits within Queensland which are located near the north-western boundary of the Cooper Basin within the Eromanga Basin. Preliminary geological mapping and review work continued on these properties which are the subject of Native Title negotiations. Native Title claim negotiations continued during the year and will be finalised prior to the formal granting of the Applications by the Queensland.

ATPs 656A, 657A, 658A and 660A are all on or close to migration pathways, out of the Cooper Basin, of the oil found at the Inland Oil Field. Successful wells are already located where structural and other geological trends encounter above-average permeability. (Read More)
