On 4th December 2009, Mining Projects Group Limited (‘the Company’ or ‘MPJ’) entered into a binding heads of agreement to acquire Raptor Minerals (Pty) Ltd (‘Raptor’). Raptor, through its subsidiary companies, has secured a number of granted prospecting rights strategically located in key regions of South Africa which MPJ considers have potential to host significant gold, uranium and molybdenum mineralisation (Figure 1).

Raptor along with its subsidiary companies have a 70-74% interest in 5 prospecting rights, with three prospecting rights to be granted by the Department of Mineral Resources. In total the rights cover approximately 44,209 hectares over gold, pyrite and uranium exploration tenements in the Free State Province and Uranium and Molybdenum tenements in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. The remaining equity is held by Raptor’s Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) partners. These prospects include underground mining targets for gold and uranium mineralisation within extensive flat dipping conglomerate reefs associated with the Central Rand Group of sediments and shallow Karoo Basin sandstone hosted uranium targets amenable to open pit extraction.

Bryan Frost - Executive Chairman

Bryan has had a long career spanning stockbroking, investment banking, venture capital, direct investment and company management. For several years, until 1973, he was a partner in a Melbourne-based stockbroking firm where he specialised in advising domestic and international investors, banks, financial institutions and other investment funds on Australian equity investments.

Over the past 30 years he has been directly involved with a number of public companies as a major shareholder and director and in that role has been responsible for the restructuring and transformation of these companies.

In recent years, Bryan has been actively involved in providing corporate advice and securing capital (including venture capital) for several new ventures spanning the biotechnology, consumer products, industrial technology and resource sectors.

Richard Revelins - Executive Director

Richard has been involved with Mining Projects Group since its inception where he has been responsible for assisting with the sourcing, structuring, documenting, funding and completion of deals. Richard held senior executive positions in investment banking and stockbroking firms Kleinwort Benson Australia Limited, Morgan Grenfell Australia Limited and McIntosh Corporate Ltd (now Merrill Lynch Australia ).

Richard has a vast depth of public company skills and experience, having acted as a director and advisor to a number of public companies in areas covering takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, Stock Exchange listings and strategic financial advice. Richard has been involved in a number of successful resource based projects.
 
Christopher Taylor - Director of Exploration

Chris holds a MBA and BSc (Honours) Major in Geology and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Member of the Society of Economic Geologists. Chris has previously held senior roles as Exploration Geologist and Consulting Geologist to a number of Australian and international mining companies including Newcrest Mining Limited, Delta Gold Limited, Gutnick Resources N.L. and Range River Gold N.L.
 
Jim Babbage - Non-Executive Director

Mr Babbage, aged 59, has been a director of a number of public companies and possesses extensive experience in company and financial management, as well as being involved in the operation and management of mining companies.

Mr Babbage is Chairman of the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee.
