Discovery Metals combines an attractive portfolio of mineral assets in Africa and joint ventures in Australia. Its management team has a strong track record of success in finding and developing mineral resources. Discovery Metals doubles length of Quirinus Prospect

Discovery Metals released yet more encouraging new from its projects in Botswana. News today emanated from the Quirinus Prospect, a prospect which falls within the Maun Copper Project which lies in the Kalahari Copper Belt that runs through Namibia and Botswana.

Soil Geochemical surveys over the Quirinus Prospect indicate that the strike length of the target is now more than double previous estimates, at 3,300 metres in strike. The prospect is still open along strike to the northeast and southwest. The soil sampling program is designed to define the limits of the prospect, and would therefore continue. Discovery Metals said that it had also drilled three holes into the area, and visual inspection of the core suggested the mineralisation was of a similar style to the Zeta, Plutus and Petra copper-silver ore bodies. Assay results are pending.

Brad Sampson, MD of Discovery Metals, said,

"These results demonstrate the exploration potential of the company's 6,400km2 tenement package in addition to the inferred mineral resources previously defined at Zeta, Plutus and Petra. We still have hundreds of strike kilometres of potentially copper enriched rocks in our tenements that we intend to explore."
