Navigator Resources moves towards full scale gold production at Bronzewing
Navigator Resources (ASX: NAV), an emerging Perth-based gold production company, has reported on its continued progress towards achieving full scale sustained gold production of 100,000oz per annum at its Bronzewing Gold Project.
Bronzewing is located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, in the highly prospective Yandal Greenstone Belt.
The company’s gold shipment and sales profile has also been steadily increasing in line with previously announced positive operational trends for mill throughput, plant recovery and gold into circuit.
Navigator despatched its largest gold shipment to date on Thursday, 24 June 2010, which totalled 72.8kg of gold bullion. Based upon recent dore purity, the company expects attributable fine gold to exceed 2,000oz.
David Hatch, managing director, said confirmation of fine gold from last week’s shipment will be communicated once refinery out-turns are received in the coming days.
Navigator will pour its final gold bars this week to close off the month and June quarter and will report actual fine gold produced and sold for June once all refinery out-turns are received. This is expected by the company in mid-July 2010.
The company said it will announce final results of its production ramp up achievements in its June quarter report.
The Company acquired the Bronzewing Gold Project (located 960km northeast of Perth) in late 2009, and this Project recommenced production in April 2010.
Navigator also continues to pursue development opportunities at the Leonora Gold Project (located 830km northeast of Perth) by initially carrying out a trial mining program.
