Thor Mining

Thor Mining PLC, AIM, ASX: 'THR' is a minerals exploration and development company focused on exploring and developing specialty metals projects. The flagship project is the Molyhil Tungsten-Molybdenum Project. Since mid 2004 Molyhil has been the subject of systematic test work comprised of geophysical exploration, a diamond and RC drilling programme, surface and underground bulk sampling, metallurgical test work and a geotechnical study.

 Subsequent to the completion of the updated resource statement, and the Scoping Study, Thor completed a Definitive Feasibility Study in November 2006 which confirmed that the project is technically and economically viable, with strong financial returns and rapid capital payback. Thor has also acquired a number of project areas in the Northern Territory of Australia with prospectivity for uranium mineralisation.

Thor Mining receives encouraging results from uranium projects

Thor Mining, the mining company with tungsten-molybdenum and uranium projects in the Northern Territory of Australia announced results from exploration activity on the Harts Range and Bundey River Projects.

At the Diacos Prospect in Harts Range, Thor said it had completed rock chip and soil sampling which returned high grade assays including 7.7% Uranium, 18.8% Tantalum and 8.54% Niobium. Meanwhile on the Haddock Prospect, rock chip samples also tested for uranium, with the best result being 904.5 parts per million uranium. Finally at the Indiana Prospect, anomalous uranium mineralisation was identified over a 600 metre strike. The best rock chip sample returned 781 part per million uranium.

At the Bundy River Project, Thor confirmed the completion of an airborne electromagnetic survey which identified "the presence of conductors within the palaeo drainage system".
