New Dawn Mining Corp (TSX: ND) has produced 3,059 ounces of gold at its flagship Turk mine in Zimbabwe during the quarter to September 30, while total gold sales totalled US2.78 million.
The company, which has recently shut down its Blue Dot Mine in South Africa, has reaffirmed its focus on its Turk and Angelus mines in Zimbabwe, which have an aggregate NI 43-101 compliant resource of 959,900 oz (ounces) of gold along with an inferred resource of 347,600 ounces of gold. The two mines have the potential to produce an estimated 35,000 to 50,000 oz per annum, New Dawn said in the statement.
Production at the Turk mine has been increasing for six months in a row, reaching 1,029 oz in September.
“We are pleased to report that New Dawn is well-positioned to continue to increase production at the Turk Mine in the coming months and quarters,” said President and Chief Executive of New Dawn Ian Saunders.
The company also vowed to continue its acquisition and exploration efforts in the country.
