UPDATE - Premier African Minerals starts shifting earth at RHA

Premier African Minerals (LON:PREM) has started to strip the waste at its RHA tungsten project, while plant fabrication is on schedule to start next month.

George Roach, chief executive, said: “Construction remains on time and on budget. 

“It is most pleasing being able to report that the first bench of the open pit is being cut and stripping has commenced. We look forward to updating shareholders in due course."

Based in Zimbabwe, the RHA mine is forecast to generate net revenue of US$26mln over a 22 month life of mine with pre-tax cash flow of US$8.9mln.

First production is scheduled to start in June.

Shares added 9.43% to stand at 1.45p.
