Starpharma Holdings (ASX: SPL) is focused on the development of dendrimer nanotechnology for pharmaceutical, drug delivery and other applications. Products based on Starpharma’s dendrimer technology are already on the market as diagnostic elements and laboratory reagents through licence agreements.
Starpharma Holdings finishes quarter with $24m cash position
Starpharma Holdings Limited (ASX:SPL, OTCQX:SPHRY) has released its quarterly report for the period ended 31 March 2010.
The cash position at 31 March 2010 was $23.7m compared to the 31 December 2009 total of $24.3m.
Operating & investing cash outflow was $0.6m for the quarter. Receipts from customers included royalty and license income from partners including SSL International, Siemens Healthcare and Elanco, and grant payments from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) for VivaGel® development costs.
Operational highlights announced during the quarter included:
- the successful completion of a VivaGel® study in sexually active women; and
- signing of a new drug delivery collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company in human pharmaceuticals.
