Condor Blanco Mines (ASX:CDB) is poised to buy 100% of a nickel, copper and platinum project in Western Australia previously explored by mining major BHP Billiton (LON:BLT).

Devils Creek lies on the world class nickel-copper belt found at the Fraser Range and the firm believes this is an excellent opportunity.

It has struck a heads of agreement with private explorer Temple Resources over the site, which lies around 30km south and southeast of Jerramungup and 40km northwest of Bremer Bay.

BHP Billiton carried out  surficial air core drilling via three holes before the nickel potential of the belt was recognised.

But the holes did return results suggesting elevated copper, PGE, magnesium and vanadium geochemistry.
