Tungsten Corporation promotes Americas chief, says invoice network now compliant in Qatar

Tungsten Corp (LON:TUNG) this morning unveiled a significant new boardroom appointment.

The electronic invoicing specialist said it is promoting Rick Hurwitz, currently chief executive of Tungsten's Americas division, to the position of executive in charge of global development.

Boss Edmund Truell said: "Rick is a critical member of Tungsten's management team, developing and leading our growth strategy in the US which is an important market for us.

“We will benefit from his experience growing financial service and technology companies as he assumes responsibility for developing Tungsten's relationships with existing and new multi-national corporate clients.

“I am delighted to welcome Rick to the board."

The news came as Tungsten revealed it is now legally compliant to receive invoices for Qatar is unveiled a new boardroom appointment.

It is the 47th country to join the Tungsten electronic invoice network and the third in the Middle East. The other two are the United Arab Emirates Saudi Arabia.

"Achieving Qatari compliance brings us another step closer to our goal of becoming the world's largest electronic trading network," said Truell.

"The Middle Eastern nation is one of the world's fastest growing economies and our expansion into Qatar was prompted by requests from a number of our customers who have identified it as an increasingly important market.”
