Fastjet (LON:FJET) has extended its network of ancillary alliances through a pan-African hotel partnership agreement with Venere.com, a member of global travel giant Expedia.

Fastjet passengers will be able to book rooms at Venere.com's hotels through the airline.

The Venere functionality will be initially launched as a 'co-brand' product, but will later be fully integrated into the booking process.

Ellis Cain-Jones, head of commercial at Fastjet, said: "This is another key milestone in the roll-out of Fastjet's ancillary products and revenue generation plan.

“Accommodation is a natural add-on for both our leisure and business customers and this partnership offers an extensive choice of hotels across the continent.

"We are also particularly happy that Venere.com has accommodated our mid-term multi-channel requirements, enabling Fastjet passengers without internet access to book through our 24 hr call centre following the launch."
