Iofina brings in new non-exec; chairman retires

Iodine extraction specilaist Iofina (LON:IOF) on Thursday announced the retirement of chairman Chris Fay as it welcomed on board new non-executive director, Dr William Bellamy.

The new director is a senior vice president at engineering and construction firm CH2M HILL. 

Of the newly vacant role of chairman, Iofina said it is “in the process of identifying and recruiting a suitable replacement”.

Chief executive George Lantz added: "I would like to thank Chris for the significant contribution he has made to Iofina over the past six years. 

“His fantastic support and commitment to the company from its admission to AIM in 2008 to the current day has helped steer it through the evolution of the business and he leaves us on strong footing. 

“We wish him continued success in his business ventures and look forward to engaging with him in the future as a shareholder of the company."
