Play LA Inc’s (OTC:PLLAF) appetite for acquisition shows no sign of abating, with the company announcing this afternoon that it had acquired Arsenal-mania.com, a leading football fan website dedicated to Arsenal FC, one of the Premiership’s top football clubs.

The website generates impressive traffic already, with over 250,000 visitors a month, 40,000 registered users and nearly 9,000 Twitter followers. According to Play LA, the website’s users generate some 4.5 million page impression per month.

“The acquisition of Arsenal-Mania expands our reach to UK and European sports audiences, complements our existing sports content, and increases advertising inventory to sell to our advertisers,” David Hallonquist, Play LA Inc.’s CEO stated today.

Play LA already owns a portfolio of sports and gaming websites, including Bettingchoice.co.uk, a UK sports news website and poker news portal Pokernewsheadlines.com - which was acquired in January 2010.

In total, the company now owns 19 websites.

Jonathan Chong, owner of Arsenal-Mania.com said the transaction would allow the Arsenal focused website to move into its next phase of growth.

Arsenal-Mania.com was founded in 2000 and began as an Arsenal fan forum before expanding to include news, player profiles and match statistics.

Play LA, which was listed on the OTCBB market in the United States in March 2009, business strategy is to generate revenues through models, such as pay-per-click (based on how many users click on an ad) as well as variations such as pay-per-impression, pay-per-lead, pay-per real-money player and flat rate models for advertisers.
