Will China decision leave world electrical engineering industry in limbo
The Chinese government has decided to cease development of electrical engineering and electronic industries around the world, except its own country.
According to unconfirmed market reports, the government of China owning 97% of known fields of rare-earth metals (terbium, lanthanum, neodymium, lutetium, beryllium, gallium, indium, germanium, vanadium, titanium, molybdenum, wolframium, etc) plans to stop export of these elements by 2012 and leave them fully for its domestic needs.
As a result, this would place a strain on production of electric appliances outside of China sourcing raw materials.
