Phoenix Gold (ASX: PXG) non-executive director Clay Gordon has resigned with effect from Friday, 31 May 2013, to focus on his new role as managing director of another resource company.
Gordon, who has 25 years experience in gold projects, business development and project valuation in Australia, Africa and South East Asia had joined the company as a director in 2009.
During his four years with Phoenix the company has grown from a small private company with few assets into a publically listed company with over 700 square kilometres of highly prospective leases, a significant resource position of over 2.5 million ounces of gold and a well‐defined strategy to become a gold producer.
Clay’s judgement and acumen as a geologist coupled with his considerable experience in the industry have proved invaluable during his tenure on the board.
