CopperCo in Trading Halt - Progressing Financing Transactions

CopperCo (ASX:CUO) has been placed into a trading halt to "progress potential financing transactions".

The copper miner requested the trading halt today, and to remain in place until Monday, November 24, or when the announcement is released to the market.

In late January 2008 the company announced it was to merge with Mineral Securities.

The merger, a move the company has said reinforces and validates the key drivers of lowering gearing, is said to be in the final stages.

CopperCo was trading at 5.0 cents before the halt.
