Sundance Resources (ASX:SDL) is an Australian-based international iron ore company developing the Mbalam Project in the Republic of Cameroon in central west coast of Africa.
Sundance is advancing a significant exploration program and feasibility studies on the project based on production of 35 million tonnes per year hematite. Sundance is targeting to commence operations in 2012, this forming the basis for developing a global iron ore business.
Sundance Resources completes capital raising
International iron ore company Sundance Resources Limited (ASX: SDL) has announced the remaining balance of 968,860 shares was issued on late last month, taking the total amount of the capital raised from international institutional investors during November and December to $85 million.
Sundance is focused on mining interests in the Republic of Cameroon and the Republic of Congo, on the central west coast of Africa. The company has commenced feasibility study on its Mbalam Iron Ore Project as the basis for developing a global iron ore business.
Central West Africa is considered to have the potential to develop into a significant new iron province, underpinned by the Mbalam Project and nearby projects in Congo and Gabon.
West Australian-based Sundance has been listed on the Australian Stock Exchange since 1993 and is also traded on over-the-counter markets in Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Munich.
