UraniumSA is an Adelaide-based uranium-only explorer specialising in sediment-hosted and unconformity styles of uranium mineralisation within a substantial portfolio of properties in South Australia’s Gawler Craton. The company has a portfolio of uranium properties located within South Australia comprising six projects in two principal areas.
The Eastern Eyre Peninsula, located 300km west of Adelaide, includes the Mullaquana, Cleve and Tumby Bay Projects, and the Kingoonya Palaeochannel System, 600km northwest of Adelaide, includes the Tarcoola and Muckanippie projects.
The company's mission is to discover and develop quality mining assets that deliver environmentally and economically sustainable outcomes to the company, its stakeholders and the communities it works within.
UraniumSA reports significant drilling results at new Plumbush Prospect
Adelaide-based explorer UraniumSA has announced that further drilling results in the newly named Plumbush Prospect continue to deliver significant uranium intersections.
Managing director Russell Black said exploration drilling to define the extent of potentially economic mineralisation within the Plumbush Prospect was ongoing.
The Plumbush Prospect is located less than 5km south of the Blackbush Prospect within the Mullaquana Uranium Project, in a similar geological setting.
The company has now drilled 16 rotary mud drill holes along two east-west traverses and a third traverse is in progress.
Mr Black said results to date were extremely encouraging with well mineralised holes indicating a footprint of mineralisation within the Plumbush Prospect extending across an area of approximately 2.0 km east-west and 1.5 north-south – the system is predominantly closed off to the north but remains open to the south into the Joint Venture ground.
Drilling highlights include 8.3m @ 142ppm eU3O8, 3.0m @ 474ppm eU3O8 including 2.1m @ 614ppm eU3O8, 2.6m @ 488ppm eU3O8 and 5.8m @ 246ppm eU3O8.
UraniumSA is an Adelaide-based uranium-only explorer specialising in sediment-hosted styles of uranium mineralisation within a substantial portfolio of properties in South Australia’s Gawler Craton.
The Company has discovered sediment hosted uranium mineralisation at Mullaquana, south of Whyalla on the Eyre Peninsula.
Evaluation of the Blackbush Prospect for an ISR field leach trial is scheduled to commence documentation mid 2010 with the objective of being able to start construction mid 2011.
Ongoing exploration of the Plumbush Prospect is discovering potentially economic mineralisation.
Exploration south into Joint Ventured ground is scheduled for early in 2010.
