Global Nickel Investments kicks off soil sampling at Jutson Rocks Project
Global Nickel Investments (ASX: GNI) has commenced a soil sampling program at the Jutson Rocks Project located northeast of Laverton in Western Australia.
This soil sampling program, consisting of approximately 600 samples, is being conducted along 16 east-west oriented sample lines in four separate prospect areas. Each of these four prospect areas, Jutson Rocks, Rutters Soak, Langs Find and Mt Cumming South, have defined soil anomalies previously identified by
wide spaced sampling.
The Jutson Rocks prospect has previously recorded gold, nickel and copper soil anomalism defined over komatiitic ultramafic rocks in contact with granite. Seven sample lines are planned for this prospect.
The Rutters Soak and Langs Find prospect has previously defined gold soil anomalism and a single historic Au working which has been identified to date. Eight sample lines are planned to infill previous sampling in this area.
The Mt Cumming South prospect occurs south of the Mt Cumming layered mafic intrusion. Historic rock chip samples have identified Au, Cu and Ag anomalism. A single line is planned at Mt Cumming South. All soil samples will be assayed for a multi element suite of elements.
Results from the current soil sampling program will be used in conjunction with previous soil sampling data and
results of the helicopter-borne VTEM survey currently being flown, to identify priority targets at the Jutson Rocks
project for drill testing.
