QRxPharma to launch acute pain drug in 2011
QRxPharma (ASX: QRX, OTCQX: QRXPY) said it expects to complete Phase 3 trials for its acute pain compound MoxDuo™IR by Q3 2010.
John Holaday, managing director said the company planned to file a New Drug Application approval by the US Food and Drug Administration for MoxDuo™IR by EOY 2010.
During 2010, in parallel it would progress discussions with strategic partners.
He said the company planned to launch MoxDuo™ IR into the acute pain segment of the US$12 billion global marketplace in 2011.
An underwritten A$21.6 million capital raising at 81c per share is underway to advance Phase 3 drug development for MoxDuo™ IR through NDA filing. A placement, which was significantly oversubscribed, had raised A$8.0 million, and a rights issue will raise an additional A$13.6 million.
QrxPharma shares last traded at 81.5c.
