DQ Entertainment in TV co-production deal with €6.4 mln global budget

AIM-listed DQ Entertainment announced a co-production deal with MoonScoop Group to produce 'Tara Duncan', a 2D animated TV series.

The series will have a global production budget of €6.4 million with French private broadcaster M6 and Disney as broadcast partners. Production is scheduled to begin in June 2009.

This agreement marks the fourth deal between DQE and MoonScoop since announcing a strategic alliance in 2008.

Based on the best-selling books by Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian, currently published in more than 10 countries, 'Tara Duncan' tells the story of a 12 year old girl who discovers that she has magical and supernatural powers.

DQE is an animation production company engaged in the production of traditional and digital animation and game art development with a workforce of over 3,500 and a global client base.
DQE has more than 80 clients including Walt Disney Television Animation, Nickelodeon Animation Studios Inc., Electronic Arts, Marvel, American Greetings, NBC-Universal, BBC, M6, France 2, Method Animation, Atlantyca.
