Aussie Q Resources starts mineralogy studies at Whitewash and Gordon prospects
Mineral exploration company Aussie Q Resources (ASX: AQR) has kicked off mineralogy studies on selected composite drill hole samples from its Whitewash and Gordon prospects.
Seven samples representing down hole composites from a selection of the mineralised drill holes at Whitewash and Gordons have been submitted to ALS Mineralogy for mineralogical examination using a Mineral Liberation analyser.
The objective of the analysis is to gain a general characterisation of these samples to determine the mineral abundance, elemental deportment, grain size and mineral association data.
The data will then be evaluated to assist in planned metallurgical test work and will add knowledge to the geological interpretation of the projects.
The company, which last traded at 7.5c on the Australian Stock Exchange, holds nine highly prospective copper/molybdenum exploration permits for minerals in the Rawbelle district centred thirty kilometres to the west of the town of Monto in southern Queensland.
