Beacon Hill Resources (ASX: BHR, LON:BHR) is focussed on building a portfolio of near term production projects in commodities relating to the steel production industry.
Beacon Hill Resources (LON:BHR) has appointed Nathan Culkin to run day to day operations and develop the mine processing and coal quality functions at Minas Moatize in Mozambique.
Culkin, who will also oversee development of the group's coal loading facility at the port of Beira, is a qualified extraction metallurgist with twelve years management experience in the mineral processing industry.
He was recently plant jmanager at Mineral Resources Development in South Africa and has held project management roles at Sedgman South Africa Limited and BHP Billiton.
Whilst at Sedgman, Nathan was a project delivery manager for Riversdale's Benga project.
Justin Lewis, Beacon Hill's chairman, said: "Nathan's experience and understanding of coal processing and Mozambican coal will be a significant asset to the Group as we continue to grow our operations in Mozambique."
Beacon Hill is currently producing 0.6 mpta of coking and thermal coal from the first stage of development at Minas Moatize, but wants to expand this to 4 mpta ROM.
