Mantle Mining granted new tenement at its Barkly phosphate project
Australian-listed exploration company Mantle Mining (ASX: MNM) has been given the green light to acquire a new tenement, located adjacent to the company’s Barkly phosphate project in the Northern Territory.
The Brisbane-based company has control of grant EL 27037, which consolidates 5,202km2 in the Georgina Basin, under a six-year contract.
The tenement is strategically located just to the south of Phosphate Australia’s Highland Plains project which contains a maiden JORC Compliant Phosphate Rock Deposit.
Its tenements at the Barkly Phosphate project have a JORC Compliant Indicated and Inferred Resource of 1,105Mt at 18 per cent P2O5.
Shares in Mantle, a diversified Australian minerals exploration company with a large portfolio of projects in cold, coal, uranium and phosphate, have been stronger since June 2009.
The company recently completed field reconnaissance work on the Barkly project tenements, ahead of a drilling program later this year.
