MaxiTRANS Industries (ASX: MXI) is a major Australian manufacturer and supplier of road transport equipment and solutions for general freight, temperature controlled freight and bulk transport.
MaxiTRANS Industries (ASX: MXI) is set to expand its participation in the Australian mining and resources sector with the planned acquisition of AZMEB Global Trailers.
Queensland-based AZMEB designs, manufactures and markets side tippers to the mining and resource sector and waste management industry.
AZMEB’s unique and innovative side tipper designs have made it a highly regarded brand, and the acquisition will bring a new customer base to MaxiTRANS’ existing tipper businesses.
Vendor Bernd Ostermeyer will continue in his current role with AZMEB to help MaxiTRANS increase production capacity and expand the geographical distribution of AZMEB’s ptoducts in Australia.
The acquisition values AZMEB at $6 million. Funding will come from existing banking facilities.
Earlier this year, MaxiTRANS announced the acquisition of Queensland Diesel Spares, expanding the footprint of the company’s parts business.
The acquisition of Queensland Diesel, a retailer of truck parts, accessories and consumables to Queensland’s transportation industry, was designed to complement MaxiTRANS’ existing parts business, Colrain, which imports and distributes truck and trailer components, parts and accessories.
