YTC Resources defines large gold system with high grade zone at Kadungle Project

YTC Resources (ASX: YTC) will target further high grade gold at the Kadungle Copper Gold Project in New South Wales after identifying a large gold system.

Two reverse circulation holes were drilled at the Mt Leadley prospect in December 2011, targeting copper-gold mineralisation associated with a diatreme breccia.

Results from these holes confirmed broad zones of low grade copper-gold along with high grade gold mineralisation at the eastern edge of the diatreme breccia.

Intersections from the drilling program include:

- 154 metres at 0.37 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 0.12% copper from surface, including 3 metres at 7.08g/t gold and 0.31% copper from 115 metres; and
- 131 metres at 0.13g/t gold and 0.17% copper from 41 metres.

The high grade gold interval is 50 metres north along strike from high grade gold intersected in previous drilling.

YTC CEO Rimas Kairaitis said: “These results look to have confirmed the preferential development of high grade gold on the margin of the diatreme breccia at Kadungle. The breccia margin represents an exciting high-grade gold target for further exploration.”
