Silver Mines resource statement pending, halt granted

Silver Mines (ASX: SVL) has some very interesting news on the horizon with today the ASX granting the company a trading halt pending a resource statement announcement, with its shares placed in pre-open.
Silver Mines has not announced any further details, but the company has recently been working towards an updated resource for the Webbs Silver Project, which already hosts 1.23 million tonnes at 256 grams per tonne (g/t) silver for 10.2 million ounces.
The project has recently been yielding the company some very encouraging discoveries, including last month’s intersection of 25.9 metres at 337g/t silver, 0.29% copper, 0.17% lead and 2.93% zinc from 169.8 metres
The halt will last until the earlier of the announcement being made to the market, or the opening or trade on Monday 27 February.
