Eldorado Gold Corporation to progress environmental study for Perama Hill Gold Project, Greece

Eldorado Gold Corporation (ASX: EAU) is able to progress with a Preliminary Environmental Impact Study at the Perama Hill Project in Thrace, Northern Greece, after receiving government endorsement.
The Hellenic Republic of Greece Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change has approved the study for the Perama Hill gold deposit.
Perama Hill has Proved and Probable Reserves of 975,000 ounces of gold, and is expected to produce about 110,000 ounces of gold per annum at cash costs of less than US$300 per ounce through open pit mining.
The approval of the study is positive for exploration and further development of the significant minerals in Northern Greece.
Eldorado is confident the final Environmental Impact Assessment Study will be submitted to the Ministry in this quarter.
Concentrate treatment in Turkey
Last month, Eldorado commenced treatment of concentrate treatment from the Efemcukuru mine in Turkey at a treatment plant at the company’s Kisladag mine.
In 2012, concentrate stockpiled in 2011 will be processed along with the planned 2012 production from Efemcukuru.
