Riedel Resources field exploration at Marymia returns gold, copper, silver, tungsten and iron ore

Riedel Resources (ASX: RIE) has received assays of gold, copper, silver, tungsten and iron ore from field exploration at the Marymia Project.

Located in the Doolgunna-Thaduna region of Western Australia along strike from Sandfire Resources’ (ASX: SFR) Doolgunna copper-gold project at DeGrussa, Marymia comprises two large contiguous exploration licences covering 431.4 square kilometres.

Field exploration at Marymia included the collection of 1,832 soil samples and 21 rock chip samples, as well as mapping over 45 square kilometres.

The most significant soil sample results include 0.247 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 0.01% copper and 3.71g/t silver.

Significant results from rock chip sampling include 45.9% iron and 61.9 parts per million tungsten.

Detailed geological mapping is being carried out over a further 250 square kilometres, along with collection of 2,500 soil samples in key areas.

Infill soil sampling will also be undertaken over key anomalies.

In March 2012 Riedel is planning to commence a 90 hole aircore drilling program to target prospective structural corridors.
