Mariana Resources (LON:MARL) said this morning it had received conditional approval for its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The AIM-listed gold miner expects to make its debut on or around June 17.
It is hoped the dual quote will lift the profile of the group, which owns the Las Calandrias gold project in Argentina and also has assets in neighbouring Chile.
Chairman John Horsburgh said: "The TSX listing marks another strategic milestone in Mariana's corporate growth strategy and gives the company wider access to the increased institutional and retail shareholder following in the North American markets.
“Furthermore this provides an added advantage for our UK individual shareholders, as the company will now be trading on a recognised exchange and should fall in the definition of an Individual Saving Account compliant investment opportunity."
Investors are currently awaiting a maiden resource estimate for the Calandria Sur prospect in the Deseado Massif region of Argentina.
It will mark another major milestone in the development of the wider Las Calandrias project in the Deseado Massif gold-silver district in the south of the country.
Calandria Sur has been identified as an open-pit, bulk tonnage target, though the high grade La Calandria Vein at neighbouring Calandria Norte is also being included in the resource estimate.
Mariana recently completed a 30,000 metre drilling campaign comprised of 212 holes.
As well as Calandria Sur and the La Calandria vein, the campaign also identified the Nido Norte rhyolite dome, where the best intersections included 750mm at 8 grams per tonne of gold and 18 metres at 1.5 grams.
