Sultan Corporation notes decision to develop Peelwood Copper mine, based on feasibility study
Sultan Corporation (ASX: SSC) has provided more detail on the decision to develop Peelwood Copper/Zinc mine in in central New South Wales.
The company undertook the following processes before deciding to develop Peelwood:
- Geological assessment (including drilling);
- Resource model development;
- Mine optimisation and scheduling;
- Metallurgical testing;
- Preliminary engineering and plant construction assessment; and
- Commercial analysis
The Feasibility Study also provided a range over five years the mill would likely process a total of 435,000 tonnes of ore, at various levels of mill throughput for Copper, Zinc, Lead and Silver.
Financial modelling of the project will be released shortly pending the finalisation of the engineering designs when final costs are determined.
