Exploration group Venture Minerals Ltd (ASX: VMS) said it has begun a 10,000 metre diamond drilling program at its flagship Mt Lindsay tin-tungsten-iron deposit in Tasmania.
A recently completed scoping study estimates the project to deliver more than A$700 million in net cash over a 7 year mine life. The drilling program aims at increasing the already substantial poly-metallic resource at Mt Lindsay, which currently includes Australia's third largest, JORC compliant, tin resource.
Drilling will focus on defining and extending the high-grade Main and No2 zones as well as drill testing priority targets such as the No1 zone and the Waterhouse prospect.
