Discovery Metals extends Plutus by a kilometre

Discovery Metals (ASX/BSE: DML - AIM: DME) announced results from thirty three infill and resource extension holes drilled at the Plutus prospect. The infill drilling increases the Plutus prospect strike length by 1,000 metres to 8,500 metres. Mineralisation is still open and is within 900m of the Petra prospect.

The holes were drilled as part of the pre-feasibility study for the Zeta, Plutus and Petra prospects at the company's 100% owned copper project in Botswana and the prefeasibility study remains on course for completion this month.

Grade highlights included 12 metres at 2.47% copper (Cu) and 24.7 grams per tonne silver (g/t Ag), 4.6 metres at 2.52% Cu and 52.1 g/t Ag. 11 metres at 1.72% Cu and 20.5 grames g/t Ag, 6 metres at 2.2% Cu and 28.3 g/t Ag, and 6.7 metres @1.93% Cu and 43.5 g/t Ag.

Brad Sampson, MD of Discovery Metals, said:

"The recent drill results at Plutus indicate a significant extension of the prospect area. We have tested only approximately 3% of the prospective geological structures on our tenement package in north west Botswana and continue to record a high success rate of delineating mineralisation from our drilling.”
