MinRex Resources Ltd (ASX: MRR) holds a portfolio of prospective projects in Australia, and the latest rock chip samples from the 70%-owned East Pilbara project have delivered high-grade gold.
In total 190 assays were taken from old workings, prospects, outcrops and float in these leases.
At the Marble Bar North project area, samples returned a peak of 42.9g/t gold, with the average grade of all 40 samples being 4.86g/t gold.
Similarly, samples from the old workings in the Marble Bar South project area returned assays of up to 47.6g/t gold, with the average grade of all 40 samples being 4.16g/t gold.
Moving to the Daltons project area, there was a bonanza grade peak of 163g/t gold and adding interest was 8.17% copper, with the average grade of all 60 samples being 9.9g/t gold and 0.49% copper.
MinRex will use this sampling program to determine the exploration plan for later in the year.
