Change of directors at Premier African sees seasoned geologist Wolfgang Hampel join the board

Wolfgang Hampel replaces John Stalker on the board

Premier African Minerals Limited (LON:PREM) has appointed experienced geologist Wolfgang Hampel to the board. Hampel has overseen Premier African’s exploration projects in Zimbabwe since 2014, and is highly experienced in dealing with pegmatites and rare earths.

Premier is currently looking to revitalise its exploration of the Katete rare earth project in Zimbabwe.

Prior to joining Premier African, Hampel was chief operating officer at Tantalus Rare Earths AG, which made a significant discovery on Madagascar.

Hampel replaces industry veteran John Stalker, who was praised by Premier African’s chief executive George Roach as having made a “valuable contribution” to the company.

“I would like to express my appreciation and wish him well in future endeavours, and his goal of reducing his current work load,” Roach added.
