Global Health is now compatible with Telstra Health

The company recently completed its fifth year of profitable operations.

Global Health Limited (ASX:GLH) has achieved two-way interoperability between its ReferralNet secure messaging service and Telstra Health’s Argus secure messaging platform.

The two platforms can now securely exchange clinical documents, including referrals, specialist letters and discharge summaries.

The collaboration represents a significant step forward for the Australian healthcare industry as it transitions to becoming fax-free, a structural shift that will result in considerable cost savings.

Global Health will look to build on this success by expanding its ReferralNet secure messaging service across the Australian healthcare industry

Over 600 messages have been exchanged across 50+ ReferralNet subscribers and 150+ Argus subscribers.

The benefits of interoperability

ReferralNet already naturally integrates with Global Health’s existing clinical systems including: MasterCare EMR, MasterCare PAS, PrimaryClinic and MasterCare+ for Referral Management.

Achieving interoperability with other vendors will expand Global Health’s footprint in the secure messaging market.

Increasing the number of sites ReferralNet customers can send to will improve overall as customers continue to build their referral network within their communities.

Telstra Health is the largest Australian health software and technology provider.

Global Health delivered its fifth year of profit in FY2017

The company grew revenue 98% to $10.3 million and net profit after tax increased to $1.9 million in FY2017.

Earnings per share were $0.0581, and importantly for retail investors, dividends for the period totalled $0.02.
